Could we please eliminate the "Unity Communique" Eminence objective?
I'm getting really tired of the spam filling the Unity chat log from dozens of people doing this every day.
At the very least, if it is programatically easier, simply make it non-repeatable.
Probably not the brightest of ideas but maybe here is an idea of use..
{it's not my cup of tea but heres the idea}~>they could have a unity chat language filter feature that allows you to only see and speak only to english unity speaking text players and same for the japanese side of the unity chat. there is also a unity turn off feature under the status bar in which i'm positive it's already been mentioned in this thread.
Well I guess may only complaint about the unity chat is the unity eminence chat quest-mission of speaking two different times into the unity group members over using 2 numbers of 1-{see it in U-chat} then 2-{same again} and be done with objective completed without much effort being put in to actually chatting to the unity group. my eyes bleeding announces for weeks of folks just typing 1, 2, it's like children in preschool scrawling on piece of paper of them learning about their first 2 math numbers and I think there should be more details filled in for completing the objective by stating it as chat with a whole sentence, a question, or a greeting with a sentence to meet the group into the unity group should be done for a true fix to the objective.
The Core Hearted Game features Lost by changes in game mechanics over time!

The amount of points you can receive from this objective has been set relatively low, and with more ways to obtain unity accolades in the future, we didn't want to make anyone feel like they were losing out if they couldn't accomplish this every day. Since this is still a very new system, we do not have any plans at the moment to eliminate this.

The Unity chat will be nothing but people vomiting all over it for their points, because all the people who might have wanted to use it as a chat channel will have filtered it out, "I'd rather Unity Chat be a useful tool than a nuisance I have to turn off."

People WOULD HAVE used it for its intended purpose w/o the objective. But no, the majority of people HAVE NO INTENTION OF EVER USING IT for its purpose and just use it just to leech and spam the chat for free experience points and free accolades and nothing else. For everyone else who does use Unity chat for its purpose, good job and i praise you for using it for its actual intention. But if Square-Enix's intention is to motivate players to use it, then just let people use it w/o the objective so there wont be any more spam.

(I actually lost what it was that I had already started to write and had cut it to add in the past replies in as past quotes but accidently went a head in cut to paste something else into loosing all my great writing in response that I had written compared to what written is now) :(
It still amazes me, it used to be one of the core at heart features of the game for folks to be social, chatting to one another but as the game's own mechanics was sped up and Made easier over time to accomplish objectives, it also seemed to of changed or adjusted the type social game the player is now and it has basically became jump in get objective done and jump out in being none sociable~total silence. I have seen my majority into the types of players through the years as some would actually come into the game to escape the chatting from their daily lives, I guess maybe its the types of personal or business chats they received all day into wanting to use the game as an escape as into a no chat place but they weren't realizing they were coming to game at the time into having one of its primary focuses was to chat and be social.
This "objective" was noble cause to bring it back into the game more but its assertion in detail on how the objectives requirements into the game may be completed was flawed making it miss the mark and creating a loss cause in a reason to have it as an eminanance objective but i'm not saying abolish the objective, I'm saying fix the detailed written requirements required into completing the objective for good fix and meeting its purpose in goal to having it around as an eminence objective to be completed.
I wouldn't doubt this would take quite some time in a lot tinkering and torquing it until you get it just right as well. Good Luck Teams in working on this objective. {just a quote I thought might fit this in matching my written message; "A not well thought out plan is or can be a lost cause" and theres another quote thats a bit longer adding to the end of it: "a lost cause to the objective meant to be originally in place"
Just a recall of the past even though it may of not been all that great!
I remember back in the day when we used to get spammed by gil sellers with there tells to go somewhere out of character and out of the game, they would direct folks to it in there bad man tells, spamming everyone on the sever but this type of thing happening in a logical different way could probably use a spam filter like they did in the old days to block it's occurrences from continually happening inside the unity chat. it be something like /uchataid, /uchatspamblock, etc. and so on and so forth! LOL!! hope its a simple solution and a great idea! ;)
