I'm still not clear what the difference is between the curent Animators in the game, to be honest.
The normal animator has no bonus to your stats,
Turbo Animator gives you +2 DEX, which is pretty nice.
I believe the Animator +1 gives your puppet HP/MP increases but I'm not sure.
A new animator would be interesting indeed. We'll see what they hit us with.

Animator +1 also gives hidden +4 DEX to master.
In lines with OP's topic, would be nice to see an animator. Could be possible SE will add an empyrean one in eventually, I mean they did plunk in Shield and Harp after no other types of trials akin to the item types. We'll have to wait and see though...
And your Animator+1 doesn't even have a white border on it as all other +1 items do... It's obviously a counterfeit!

Animators should have a built in "Overload" reduction rate. Like the Cirque body. 66PUP atm, love my pup. I've heard the Cirque bd is awesome for reducing Overloads. As far as Emp ideas for an animator. I'd like to see an Animator that gives the Automaton (depending on class) a new TP move.
maybe the new Animator had regain on it <can hope> or at least improve the maneuvers problem.

I like the regain idea, since they NERFED Burts, yeah fuck you SE!, must be all that radiation or something because Burts were perfectly fine, so this new Animator better have regain to cause a massive nerf like that. Personally though I am thinking 4 maneuvers... or maybe add more ele so you can add more costly attachments...
Still all I can think about is the nerfing up Burts.... it is like say for war Widowmaker "yeah double dmg for you double attack, now lets nerf warrior's job trait double attack to .0001%!" It is beyond me...
probably will add 8 dex and a bunch of hp/mp based on frame...like an animator+1 with bigger bonus...
and obviously will be a rare drop from tier4 void nm...
Ok lets clear this up a bit this is exactly what each animator does:
Animator Recast time: 12 secs All jobs can use this version
Tubo Animator Recast time 7 secs DEX+2 for auto
Animator +1 Recast 10 secs DEX+4 and automaton HP/MP (amount varies by frame as Ahtos described above).
Hope that clears up the difference in the animators
The DEX bonus is always for the master, not for the automaton.
The recast thing is a pure myth for that i know (based on Jkun's tests, posted on BG : he tested the recast with a turbo animator and an animator +1. At the end, his conclusion was that there was no difference between the 2 animators in term of recast.)

Spells and ja (flash, voke, eraser, ...) but it doesnt work like that xD
