To coincide with the September version update, Producer Akihiko Matsui held another "Freshly Picked Vana'diel" to go over some of the new content and discuss other topics pertinent to adventuring. Below is a digest of what was discussed.

Goblin Mystery Box Renewal

To coincide with all the changes taking place in-game, we’ve added a lot of new items that you can obtain from the Goblin Mystery Box. We’ve also changed the content for each dial, and we’ve separated dials 1 through 5 into different item categories and added a special dial where there is a chance you will get a special item.

As long as you have daily tally you can use dials 1 through 5 as much as you can, but the special dial can only be used once per day.

Walk of Echoes

We’ve added surge walks as new content for high-level players and also added endowed walks as a special bonus.

Surge walks are a special type of walk that is very difficult and geared towards players who have procured equipment with item levels. When a regular walk is cleared, there is a set chance that a surge walk will occur. The chance that a surge walk occurs will increase each time a regular walk occurs.

Endowed walks are walks that distribute a large volume of temporary items to players, and they have been set as a special chance to challenge these walks.

Additionally, we’ve made game balance adjustments so that monsters in these walks no longer use abilities that inflict players with Encumbrance.

In the version updates to come, we will be introducing a system where these walks naturally occur even if existing walks are not being cleared, as well as the ability to purchase Kupofried’s Medallion from within the Walk of Echoes.

Job Adjustments Part 1

We’ve made adjustments to a number of jobs.

• Dragoon
  We made adjustments to dragoon to coincide with the concept of fighting alongside a wyvern, and as a wyvern’s level increases the dragoon will now receive enhancements. While it will be necessary to think of ways to maintain your wyvern, the dragoon will gain large effects, so please take care of your wyvern and fight alongside your trusty companion.
  
  Additionally, we’ve boosted the accuracy and execution speed of wyvern breath.

• Blue mage
  We’ve added new blue magic spells.
  As previously mentioned on the forums, we added blue magic spells that are very powerful in exchange for a long recast timer, and we enhanced the burst-power of blue mages.
  
  Additionally, we added spells that can be learned from Naakuals and it’s now possible to obtain spells from all of the Naakuals.

Job Adjustments Part 2

• Dancer
  We increased the maximum Step level to 10 when your main job is dancer. Additionally, we added the new ability, Contradance, which will increase the effect of the next Waltz used.
  
  For a future version update we will be looking into making adjustments to Flourishes and such to improve the damage dealing capabilities of dancer. We are also looking into making adjustments to the combat skill values for multiple jobs including dancer.

• Beastmaster
  We added six new familiars that can be summoned with Call Beast. These are pets that are comparatively cheap to summon.
  
  Additionally, we are looking into increasing accuracy overall for familiars, avatars, wyverns, and automatons in a future version update.

Incursion is content for players who have cleared Delve or for those who are looking for an even more challenging battle.

Every time you clear Incursion the difficulty will increase and the number of rewards will also increase. (The items that drop will not vary.)

• Addition of various icons to the map
  We added icons to the map and you can now check the locations of home points and other important elements.

• Rearrange feature for the party member list
  It’s now possible to rearrange the party member list as you like. You can also see each player’s job when you rearrange the list.
