Issue with new location where the number of stacked items is displayed

Hello guys:

I have both console and PC version of the game, and on both is really, really tough to read the numbers of the items in the inventory. :confused: I mean the image with white text font makes it really hard to read...

Does anyone else have the same issue ?

Not only do I have this issue but also when scanning through inventory it is usually easier to look at the icons rather than the wall of item names when searching for something, however now this is impossible with all the icons being covered. If this could be made into an optional setting for those of us who prefer the older style it would be great, thanks.

I find myself unable to read the numbers either and I don't always recognize the icons anymore.
As Kingkorrit suggested, please add an option to toggle between the new and older style.

I can read it without an issue, but scanning quickly is a pain. Scrolling through my stuff quickly, I'm used to looking at the right of the item if I'm looking for a single item or a stack. Toggle option would be great.

On the plus side, I realized scorpion shells now stack. Thought I was gonna have to start tossing them to make room, and lo and behold I found a stack.

Oh, by the way, the japanese version of the game didn't change this...

So probably we won't have a quick response. Since they don't have this issue. D:

The entire reason for the change was item name length. It was easier to implement this than change the display of item's names I suppose even though they'd have only needed to add some .'s and such to abbreviate and it'd be done.

True, but there are some items with names so heaivly abbriviated that it's hard to tell what the actual name is without reading the help text, along with other items whose names look the same because of the abbriviations.

I 1000000000000% support this topic. I used to recognize items by icons now the numbers are difficult to read and scanning through inventory just isn't as convenient anymore.

It's very hard to recognize the icons now since they moved the numbers ...

I Do like that there is a bigger 2nd icon that pop's out below the menu you are currently on when you scrolling down the main icon list of items and I was thinking that they could put the stacked numbers there instead in a much larger form. They could allow an configurations option under settings as well that lets you set the size you need to be able to read it for blinder eye's to see it visibly well and maybe give you some type of optional placements onto where you would like those type displays to appear and so it wont screw the game up or make it freeze the game entirely because of it at the same time!! You guys have to remember sometimes the games mechanics are beyond there control in what they can do or even place stuff with out causing more irreparable bugs to happen to everyones system but anywho moving on.

Is there any possibility we can have it the old way? ; ; Devs/community peeps?

Maybe an option to toggle? I know I probably sound like I'm nitpicking or ungrateful for an update here but this genuinely inconveniences me because I play with very high resolution and my UI is extremely tiny as it is. I'll live with it as I have the past week but it doesn't hurt to ask! :D

Yup, by all means we're no being ungrateful. We just have some issues reading numbers that are mixed up with the icons.

I mean, when both contrast there is no problem, but when they are both similar in tone (i.e. shihei) it is really hard to read how many left we have.

I think the real issue is how little contrast there is with the number vs the background. it needs a darkened edge like player names.

I did a post about this also. I think we both posted on the same day. This is exactly what I said. It is the contrast of not having a dark enough icon to see the white number. I shouldn't have to lean forward to the screen to see the number.

Please guys, back to the drawing board and do something about this. The last thing we need is something to make us stop to read.
