Arrapago Remnants

Lost connection while in Arrapago Remnants and now i cannot log back in. Game gets stuck @ the black screen where it says Downloading Data...

This just happened to me as well. The game froze on floor 5 of AR2 and crashed, so I tried to log back on and got a black screen that said o o o Downloading o o o

It booted me back to pol so I tried again, and it did the same thing for about 30 seconds, before dumping me out of salvage. :(

We’ve addressed this during the version update on May 16. Apologies for the inconvenience!

While it’s possible to procure the same number of Alexandrite from each Salvage area, we’ve been noticing a trend that the easier to clear ones, notably Arrapago Remnants II, are being focused on to farm Alexandrite and thus this area has become somewhat congested.

As noted in the version update details, we implemented a countermeasure that established a time interval between when players are able to enter Salvage. Due to this, the number of instances that are created at once has been reduced and we’d like to keep an eye on server stability with these conditions for a while.

We’re currently looking into making changes in the event that server issues continue so that when you enter a Salvage area, you will not be able to enter that area again until a certain amount of time passes.

For example, once you enter Arrapago Remnants, you will no longer be able to enter it again for a certain amount of time, but you will be able to enter other Salvage areas.

Once I’m able to share more details I will be sure to let you know.

Why not adjust the other remnants so that its more attractive to farm alexandrite? It would solve congestion easily rather than imposing restrictions.

Because that requires effort, putting restrictions is something they can do in 5 minutes of coding.

actually wouldnt, one of them would end up being the easiest and you are back at the beginning of the problem.

Because it's almost impossible to 100% perfectly equally balance the farming conditions in each area without making them 100% identical, so players will figure out which one is fastest even if it's only by a small amount and farm that one.

DEV Team the idea is terrible, the reason why AR2 is the most wanted area for alex farming is, that area has more Nms than other areas, more chancess at getting cottons and alexandrites, if DEV team wanted to fix this problem, should start to increase drop rates on alex from another mobs, cotton from NM and linen from Lesser Boss making this more attractive for other players to do diferent areas.
The idea about restric entry is just terrible, bad and no make sense, lets review areas, ZR, you cant solo chariot NM becaus discoid will kill you 4400 pure dmg, you can reduce dmg with shell 5 and mdt but dont think someone is going to survive to this move, there is not enough ramparts or gears to farm alexandrites here, 9 gears can drop cottons but drop rate is just terrible.
BR, first floor regular mobs got a lot of HP, w/o equip and just weapon to fight, even if ppl can do first floor, they wil have problems doing mega boss, cerberus where you need balace magic and physical dmg, plus gate of hades can really hurt you.
SSR bad drop rate on cottons, nms got a lot of hp and not really worth killing, no enough gears to farm alex or ramparts.

Personally i dont think DEV team is going to listen us, they never do, thier solution to fix a problem isnt going to fix it, just will bring another problem eventually, alex drop isnt too good as we thought and this idea will reduce our supply, please Dev Team, think better what you want to do to fix this problem, im sure the most players 'd rather have this problem with AR than have this silly implementation.

The other zones need a lot of work before you consider something like this. As mentioned above, there's good reasons why the others zones are avoided. Those zones need rethought before you implement such a crude solution.

Zhayolm II is very unfriendly to pet jobs and range classes, you can't unlock some vital slots until the 5th floor and it renders those jobs practically useless.

I'd like to go back and farm some Salvage 1 items, but I refuse to touch those zones until the horrible cell system is finally nuked from orbit. They may not be the best way to farm alex, but imagine how much congestion could be relieved if those 4 zones were viable again.

Doesn't matter, unless the balance is 100% perfect, people will find the one that edges out the others and spam that one. Their solution is actually better than spending large amounts of time redesigning / rebalancing the other salvage runs.

so much for completing a burtgang fast, its these sort of measures that make you think why bother paying and playing anymore? I was on the verge of quitting, but i stuck around cause i thought, i'll try a mythic. But I just knew if I tried that somewhere it'd all goto hell, with either server issues because its become too easy, or SE going around issues instead of fixing them. When they always talk about balance in the game..... Are we being told it effects balance even when we have ridiculously overpowered weapons/gear? Those things have caused issues like these =/. Plus you make salvage soloable, Dont get me wrtong, i'm happy for that. But please stop going around issues instead of fixing issues that in reality you have caused... Its annoying to a sadly decreasing population =(

Severe cop out. Stop being cheap. Upgrade the server hardware so it can handle higher traffic. Paying for a service we can't access is a joke and adding more controls isn't the answer. About time SE pulled their wallet out and paid so that the service we are paying for is of an acceptable level, and people wonder why the p2p model is dying in favor of the f2p model? It's because companies like this would rather limit what you can do repeatedly rather than actually spend and improve their product. How about, stop the updates for six months, take the money and fix everything, I can say personally I'd rather that than content I killed six years ago with +1000 to each stat being called new content.

well if they let us to use Trust into salvage, i dont think many ppl will be mad after they do restriction entry

No offense, but wouldn't allowing Trust in Salvage only cause even more congestion, since everyone would then want to go solo instead of grouping together? I don't know.. I think restriction and forcing players to go elsewhere is the best solution for now.

As we are still continuing to experience instability with Salvage areas due to congestion, in the June version update we will be making adjustments so that you cannot enter the same remnants area until 24 hours later. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we would like to monitor conditions for a while with this countermeasure as we work to improve the situation.

This will work for about a week until everyone has their storage mules levelled and geared up.

If everyone goes in around the same time, they will probably wait those 24 hours and all try to do the same zone again, then there's still congestion.
A better idea would be to just equalize the drops for the other zones so people don't want to just do1 zone in particular.

yeah why not just fix other zones? This seems like a bad idea for a fix.

Just Balance other areas and ppl wil stop doing same one atll time, if you are going to do something to fix a problem, do it right, dont cuase other

Stop taking the easy way out and fix the actual problem. Adjust the other zones to be as attractive and easy as Arrapago.
As RalphTheGalka said, time to level a mule to farm that zone so I can continue to farm it daily. The other zones are not even worth the effort to alternate between them and Arrapago when I can easily level another character with sole purpose of farming Arrapago daily.

because you can't. even if you get the drop rate and NM's to within .00016% of eachother there is still 1 zone with a .00016% advantage, that's enough to make the cookie-cutter people go there only.

So what why even try because some people will go for a tiny extra that will take months to figure out? And if you get it close I can guarantee a lot of people will chose easier zones (especially people doing it on mules) or faster ones more often then they do now. And if you get to one and find it under maintenance or 20 people waiting outside they wouldn't just stand there till they can get in for that 1 extra alex like I see now

This is NOT a solution. Make other remnants more appealing for farming Alexandrite, or allocate more instances for Arrapago.

This is simply not true. Look at Dynamis. Some areas are slightly better than others in currency per hour, but people go to the one that has the least amount of people farming.
Consider this. Give every remnants the exact same Alexandrite potential and move some of the unlocks around. If other remnants are viable options, especially for different jobs, Arrapago will free up naturally.

They could make Arrapago worse than the other zones by 10% and many would still run Arrapago because of how easy it is to run. People speed run it so quickly that they aren't really worried about the Alex yield per Permit, just that they get in and out with a linen and some change.

Quite unfortunate tidings indeed.

I haven't been too active with Salvage, but when I do go, I normally go to Bhaflau Remnants II for Idi's ledelsens. It feels like it has been a year since I last saw those in the treasure pool, but I'm not planning on giving up!

So even if I was going to a non-affected area already, I'm now being inconvenienced due to one of the other areas.

Even Bhaflau wouldn't be so bad if you just removed the Cerberus' damage resistance build up, then anyone could just go in and clear it as quickly as AR2 without having to have some form of non-physical damage.

Salvage 3! Make Arrapago less desirable there... jk... sorta ^^

Or just make the servers able to actually handle people going in... or make drops besides alex desirable again

It’s possible for the development team to make balance adjustments so that there is not a gap in alexandrite drops between each of the areas to disperse the congestion more, but they expect this will take a bit of time to accomplish. Also, the team feels that even if they were to address this, there is still a high possibility that the easier to clear areas become congested, and this is why they have decided to impose the aforementioned time restriction.

We’d first like to monitor the situation after the countermeasure is implemented in the June version update and will look into how to address this in the future, but please note that we will not be reverting back to the three player entry requirement.

It's possible for them to start looking into balancing changes or revamps, but we do not see them taking this route as it requires effort. In the end we know the likeliness of the developers revisiting this is the likeliness of them addressing the valid complaints about the 30,000 Alexandrite requirement from years ago and recent times.

While I thank the developers for not reverting back to the three player entry requirement, but majority of the player base knows this means it will be another 1 to 3 years before anything is done. In short, this is unacceptable unless proven otherwise by the producer. Bitterness +10

this exactly sound as the day they promess TH gears for Pets and never never do nothing, they gonna put restrictions and forget about balance areas, we already know this, Dev rep is just bad and thiie lies getting worst everyday.

Is it really that hard to make the more challenging Remnants give more Alexandrite? People do Arrapago because it's extremely easy. I think it's also the best place for Alexandrite total yield? If not, it's not very far behind.

Problem: Not enough Alex flowing causing issues in the best place to farm them.

Solution: Add pouches to the log in events, more available and price will dip slightly (but not much given how many are doing mythic now) and those who can make gil elsewhere
wont be blocking the zone up.

Between WOE items becoming sellable and being added to log in points the zone was rammed.. now? not so much.
Changing the KI system is just making a problem worse rather than fixing why people do AR2.

Shame for those of us who cant do it everyday and greatly benefited from the old KI system.

The june version update has come, but I see no mention of this in the update notes. Has this happened yet?
