BRD RANK C why?

why is bard rank C in singing string and wind?

It's speculated by the playerbase that bards are Rank C because their songs are so powerful, that Rank A would make them overpowering.

Or, if you've ever heard any of the characters sing, you'll know why they're Rank C. There are no such things as singing lessons in Vana'diel.

You do know singing is added to the others, right? So they are 2*C ranked, probably making them the highest skilled in the game.

I think the more important question is how can a bard simultaneously use wind skill and singing skill? That person must be very talented.

also, people need to quit making up devtags. randomly putting a number in front of your topic does not make it suddenly important.

Isn't it disingenuous to pretend like this is an actual dev update >_>?

With one of these.

brd is low skill because 2 are added, string + singing or wind + singing

one more thing. u can compare two job and say one is more skilled in one weapon or magic. lets say pup and mnk both have h2h skill and mnk is more skilled having A+ versus B+.

you cant compare anything to brd because its the only job using that skill. so, as long as the game treat the spell with the right parameters, a brd C skill its the most powerfull skill you can get because no other job have an higher rank and you sum singing skill with the one instrument skill you are using.

and a skilled brd with the right equip will never get a resist versus not immune monster (like elegy to a sandworm or such).

asking for an A skill rating is just asking pointless skillup...

You cap your skills quicker, don't complain!
