Can we get it so that we can finally mailbox pop items for Behemoth, Fafnir, Adamantoise, King Behemoth, Nidhogg, Aspid, sky pops, etc? Hell, at least only between our characters on our own account :\ there's no reason for this limitation.

Bumping for notice ~_~ this is something that must be an easy hotfix already :|
i just want to be able to Delivery box them.
yep, I pay for all these mules, and I could fix at least half my inventory woes if I could just mule those things.
Bumping yet again, there's no reason for this limitation to remain :|
Could I add an addition to this request? If this were to happen, it would be great if Forgotten items could be sent within the same account rather than trading them through a third party...thanks :-)
Art.
Add Dyna and other currencies as well please.
Ya, there's no sense in not allowing us to send these things between characters on our own account :(
I'm guessing the reason behind it is so that you can't stock up on more than 1 at a time by using the delivery box to bypass the rare tag on the item.
naw, pretty sure way back in FFXI's start you could mail them, but the gil sellers were using it to sell the items for money and so they wanted to make it harder on gilsellers, but that needs to end :\ though if they are worried about stocking up on them in the delivery box, I don't see why they let the medicines and other rare/ex items be transferable, hell, so are the Abys pop items :O they can be delivered.
Bumps, I won't let this go :O
{Yes, please.} I don't understand the randomness of what can be sent and what can't. Would Dwarf Pugils and Drll Calamary suddenly break the game? Login point rewards that can be sold but not sent?? Makes no sense.
It'd really be nice if i could delivery box to myself the mannequin pieces. I've gotten mannequin body 3x in a row from flotsam this week and had to toss them.
Yes please. Include those pesky sky god pops that my flotsam spams me with too. I promise my level 50 WAR mule dressed as a goblin with no subjob will NEVER fight a sky god.
Greetings,
We understand your request; however, the rarity of NM triggers are maintained by limiting their circulation and as such we do not currently have any plans to make it possible to send these items through the delivery system.
Not even sure what this means...
You guys give them away like candy on Hallow'een every month, and allow every registered character to obtain them, but are concerned about their rarity? That makes no sense. There are ways to get them from one character to another, but it's inconvenient. All we are asking is for that obstacle to be removed...allowing them to be sent within your account only shouldn't be a major thing.
or a return to all senders button. i have so many zeni pops in my dbox it takes 5-10 just to collect any newly mail items.
Yeah this answer is pretty hilarious. If you want them to be rare stop giving them away. Making us ask a friend or LS mate to grab them from our mules and trade them to us, or making us sell them on our mules does not make them rarer...
These are exactly the type of responses that make your player base think you don't even play your own game guys. Over the last year you've been doing good, getting a lot better than you used to be, by this point we should be far beyond these kind of responses...
Yes, this is a 2012-caliber answer.... The sky god pop items in Mog Garden are RIDICULOUS. I only use 3 of my characters for Mog Garden, and I get 1-3 sky god pops a day, and I just have to keep throwing them out because I already have them.
Please, I'm all for making those stupid sky god pops RARE. Please stop forcing them on me. NO MEANS NO. Keep your sky god pops out of my Mog Garden!!! Or let me sell/send them to someone who cares!!!
(Sell means on the auction house; they're too common for the one person on the server who isn't sick of these spam items to just-so-happen to check my bazaar.)
At least Camate gets to post this lol response than copy n pasting please look forward to it like on the XIV forums. Though I must agree with everyone else in that this response makes no sense. If you wanted them to be so rare then you wouldn't put them in almost every if not every log in campaign, or have them be our item for the day more often than not from our mog gardens.
The content is 10+ years old o.o rarity shouldn't matter as much at this point. If you worry about that, though, try to code it so that delivery boxes can't contain more than 1 type of pop item at a time (so 1 behemoth, 1 king behemoth, 1 fafnir, 1 nidhogg, 1 for each sky god, etc). Seems like it'd still help keep it rare, but help people. Though, even then, don't think that's needed.
From what I've seen I'm inclined to think it has more to do with congestion than anything else.
Maybe if they made the fights instanced you'd be able to have more triggers for the NMs without issues, but I think that would require more time than they seem to be willing to spend on that particular content right now.
While he said their rarity, I agree that this is what he meant. By making it so someone could hold so many pops, they could quickly farm multiple runs. Not that farming multiple is really harmful for most of these fights at this point, they'd still have to return to town to pick up the pops, thus freeing up the ??? for someone else to pop.
Making me run to Sandy on my GFs character to pick up a pop item from another mule rather than being able to Dbox my shanks to myself doesn't really take away from any congestion, it just makes my life more annoying and this game less enjoyable.
Are you kidding me devs? That is your excuse? I think that's just an excuse for "We don't wanna do it, f- off" am I wrong? It's the same deal with items like Kirin's Osode, all rare ZNM items like Pachipachio, Foolkiller, Dorje, Hachiryu set, and we can't mule those. I've bee stuck with these items forever, I wanna put them in my porter slip (Or hell put em on a mule) but nope, can't do that.
The Porter slip even states on 02 "Tu'lia" but I can't put my osode on that slip? What gives? What's the excuse behind that?
Same deal with the other items, the logic behind their lacking of transferability is just baffling, especially since this old elite armor is no longer considered a viable option as we're getting our mittens on things like 119 armors.
Let us mule these things, there is NO EXCUSE for this 'rarity' bullcrap. If that was the case, then why is the campaign designed to be abused by someone with 15 mules and a main? That's literally 4000 points on each character, totalling out at 64 pops.
Real rare.
Let us mule them, what have you got to lose from it? You're only doing the players a favor, and you won't look incompitent by making foolish excuses.
reviving this cause of the recent announcements should justify this change even more. Why? Because if there is only one last bit of content coming around then after that more and more people will be likely leaving as they finish it. That'll make it harder and harder to get loot to another character. Best to just let all pop items be mail-able to characters on your own account.
I'd much rather they removed the can't send same account from R/E/A items so I can move around augmented items and other pieces between characters. Like relic for example, both weapons and armour. But theres tons of augmented pieces that fit the bill too.
I realize armour can be stored typically, I don't know if all can as I don't have a lot of pieces to try, but weapons can't (that i know of) and honestly, I switch around characters a lot, some of them have the same jobs leveled, and it would be nice to not have to make the same thing over and over again, esp trying to augment the same piece of gear to get the same stats.
But it benefits everyone, so why not.
Pop items are just annoying at best, but with teleport books in qufim and the tower, it's not a big deal to run back and forth with a self-recharging warp ring, it let's the line move (yes there is still lines sometimes), and at worst you're out like 3mins of running time. Most people go as thf, so, your out your flee timer and there in half the time. It's slightly annoying, but not a big issue, unlike augments....
Bumping because, god damn SE, I really don't want to keep relying on other people to move pop items to my main from my mule >.>
I'm also tired of having to jump through hoops to send stuff to my mules, but :
About this, Camate did a very lousy job at explaining back then. What he failed to explain is that it wasn't about sending triggers directly to your mules, but rather about hoarding triggers in your delivery box if you allow them to be sent.
When you send a Rare item to someone (including yourself) it disappears from the system until you pick it up, allowing you to get another right away. So you can have up to the limit of your delivery box capacity on hold as long as you don't pick them up or do the "send to yourself > Return to yourself" thing.
And THAT is what Camate was referring to when he mentioned limiting their circulation, because as long as you don't allow items to be sent you are guaranteeing there will only be one of such rare items per character in the server at any given time. If you allow them to be sent you can have up to...what was the limit again? 128 items? per character.
Now, all things considered. Does it make sense to be so concerned about trigger availability nowadays?
No, it doesn't. With the story and main updates concluding by November all that matters right now is to make the game as convenient and enjoyable as possible so players who remain or come back can enjoy their remaining time in the game without unnecessary inconveniences. IMHO.
Come on SE, let us mailbox these :O surely you can code it so that you can only put on in your delivery box at a time.
Mailbox doesn't check what the receiving character already has when you send something to them. That would be a lot more load on the server to do so for every transaction. It checks when you try to pull it out. Recoding that would take development time better used for other things. An alternative to Defending Ring, or another way to get it, would remove the need for most of this.
Thanks for your continued feedback and patience on this subject.
In regards to the various Notorious Monster trigger items, we’re considering a change that would make it possible to deliver these items between characters on the same account. It’s possible that this will be difficult to implement for all items at the same time, so we’re thinking of gradually adding this feature to each trigger item.
Grekumah, Camate and Matsui please listen. A long time ago when level 75 was cap there was 3 level 70 item that is very famous and expensive Sword Ridill, Boots Herald's Gaiters and Defender Ring. Those 3 item was worth at least 40,000,000+ gil or maybe up to 100 million gil. Can please not linger in the past of FFXI and move forward into the future because there are item level 119 now.
High Tier Mission Battle The Savage (Ouryu) now drop Herald's Gaiters. Might as well make it drop Sword Ridill too since it's a dragon.
King Behemoth that rely on savory shank to pop is a very easy NM for all level 99 character kill without problems.
Urmahlulu is also a Behemoth NM so why doesn't it drop Defender Ring? If it were to drop Defender ring than the drop rate should be higher than killing King Behemoth because Urmahlulu is a tougher NM. Urmahlulu cannot be solo and you need at least 4 up 6 if your an elite player or 12 people if casual player to win.
Make everyone happy by making new Defender Ring so people can stop fighting over a old lv. 70 defender ring. New ring Stats damage taken - 15%, All elemental resist +50, Resist Death, regen 3, refresh 1. Make it come from a very tough NM so casual player and elite will have to work their ass off to get it. =) "Onca Suit was very cool"
Suggestion Wrathare is a very tough NM for some people and here in Odin I don't think many LS have cleared that NM yet.
Enforcer's Harness is very rare but why is Abnoba Kaftan new armor from update have better stats?
Enforcer's Harness need some accuracy and attack at least.
Warden's ring I think it should be change to damage taken -5% or physical damage taken -10%. For a NM that is difficult you can at least make the reward better than old ring Patricius Ring.
Great Sword Epeolatry for Run -25% physical damage vs August Update weapon Bidenhander damage taken -5% like really why can't it be -10% damage taken at least close the cap for casual player too.
Sword Burtgang -18% physical damage Elite weapon. Than new update weapon item level 119 should be at least -10% physical damage for sword or 2 hand weapon for casual player. Currently, i see it less than -6% physical damage on weapons.
Ok that is all I want to say something for the community team to think about. If no change was made than I'm fine with it as long as you don't leave us and keep on updating FFXI. =)
