White procs in CoP Dynamis...

I'm curious as to whether this only guarantees a 100 drop on beastmen mobs?

If not is there something else that I'm missing?

Or does it no longer guarantee a 100 drop at all?

My reasoning:

We went into dynamis-valk last night with whm rdm bst 2 thfs. The remaining 4 ppl went 3 x dnc and a drg, all without SJ.

We saw a few (I personally saw 1) white procs during the run (all on nightmare mobs), but not a single hundred dropped.

So, as far as I am aware, we met the criteria to get 100 drops, but I've never seen one, so I can't be certain.

Alternatively, there could have been some graphical glitch, making red procs appear like white ones.

Procs in Dynamis only increase the change of items doping. They do not make them 100%.

While the procing system has been out for a while, not everything is known about it yet. SE dose not release info about things like that, making us players guess at what is happening.

A few whites with 0 100s seems weird when BG says it appears to be a 100% drop rate after white proc, that would be like getting multiple pulse weapons in a row, its just not likely enough to be plausible.

I've never seen a white proc not yield a 100 drop.

Sounds like a potential corrupted dat or something, unless this is just some kind of very recent bug.

I had a white proc in qufim on a squidy and a 100 currency dropped. i believe the proc rate on white procs is a little less than 1-2% so about 1 in every 100 ws spell or JA (depending on what you use) roughly (considering i used percentages to compare odds....). at least that's what I've read up on, did a little research, and came to my own conclusions

Every time I've received a white proc, I've had a 100 currency drop while using DNC. Unless they ninja edited, that seems wrong that you didn't get your 100 piece. I used to farm 5 days a week and get about 7 white procs. Not once has it never dropped a 100 piece.

I don't know if there is a way to report it, since the chat log doesn't exactly say what proc you received. I would count it as maybe a glitch, and if you can duplicate it, report it.

The only thing you get out of going with no subjob in dynamis is give a small chance for a 100-currency drop (by getting white proc). Maybe the white proc also adds an extra chance for other items to drop, but nobody really knows.

Huh? Do you even lift dynamis?

Having seen white procs probably 15 times or so duoing my thf/dnc with my wife as dnc/???, I have never had white !! NOT result in a 100 currency drop. That's not a "small chance" even for a small sample size.

Now, the chance of getting white !! to proc in the first place is incredibly low (we saw maybe one white !! proc for every 4-5 runs as pretty experienced farmers going all out each run), but the result afterwards is 100% drop of a 100 unit coin, similar to red proc resulting in at least one single currency drop. Its so low in the end we determined by average per run it was more effective to have a subjob (if for no other reason then broader camp opportunities when crowded) then to bother with attempting white.

As to the OP all our whites were on nightmare mobs fwiw, we never farmed beastmen mobs unless we did a random city run with Jeral or something. I farmed Bubu nightmare mobs almost exclusively for mandau.

By small chance to drop, i meant small chance for the proc, not for the drop. Sorry, clarification made. No need to be insulting, though I don't know how to "lift" a dynamis. Play one, farm one, sure, but lift?

Without enabling white proc mode, you have 0% chance for 100 coins from ordinary enemies. If you do enable it, you have a ~1% chance to get the white proc and therefore 1% chance to get a 100 coin.

Even tho white proc is very low, it still dose not mean a 100 piece will have a 100% drop rate. Like I said, we only get the info we know by testing. I would say that this needs more testing. It very well could be that you have a 90% to 99% change to get a 100 piece.

even if it was 99%, you would have more people than the OP saying they've gotten no 100 with a white proc.

There is still a 1% change that you would get nothing. You need to take into account other factors. Factors like:
How many people play FFXI? Out of all the people that play FFXI, how many of them do dynamis? How often do they do it? And how many of the people that do dynamis enter without a subjob?

Yeah, that's what i'm saying. Even taking into account the percentage that even know the forums exist, you'd still hear more than 1 guy saying he didnt get a 100 drop.

I am willing to bet that less then 1% of all the FFXI population do Dynamis with no sub. So with that said, this could just be the 1st time that someone has reported it. You should also know that not everyone who plays FFXI checks/posts on the forums.

We'll just have to agree to disagree then. There's plenty of people that go subless, and a good portion of those post on forums. No one has ever reported a 100-less white proc.

Since not everybody in your party had subjobs locked, maybe that affects the drop rate if somebody with a sub gets on the mobs hate list.

I farm as DNC + THF/DNC typically, sometimes with more subjobbed people. Still never seen a white not yield a 100.

Yep it's pretty much 100%, unless SE nerfed white procs, yet again recently.

Ok thanks for all the feedback. I'll submit a bug report after work and see what the response from that is.
