GEO and RUN limit break quests

Have these been postponed or were they added? If postponed, what is their status? For example, are the scenarios (cutscenes, storyline) tentative/incomplete? Is it because AF quests are first going to be introduced instead? Is it related to the lack of battlefield zones in SoA? I'm curious.

To my fellow users, rant posts are unnecessary, because these quests are really just for fun and challenge.

Check back later this summer. Since for whatever reason they're holding off on completing these jobs.

They weren't postponed as no date was given.

It was implied the lv 70 fight would be added in Mondays update, but was never said outright. As for AF, nothing was said.

I'm curious as to whether RUN and GEO will get Aby Emp armor patched in and if so will they get Emp accessories or a lv 89 Abyssea Weapon. (Like Triplus Dagger, Phurba, Charmer's Merlin etc.)

SE already learned that setting timelines dose nothing but shoot themselves in the foot.

I hope SE introduces AF, Relic, and Empyrean sets for both GEO and RUN. It would make a lot of older content somewhat relevant again, that being AF quests (which a lot of people nowadays don't bother doing), Dynamis, and Abyssea.

Yes, I realize people dog on Abyssea, but the fact is Abyssea gave us all some pretty good armor in the form of AF3 +2.

How? Most AF is irrelevant, and the few pieces that are, are typically macro pieces. Leveling isn't relevant anymore.

If you want them to make AF, consider all the inventory you're asking for. The AF will not actually be good, it will just be macro pieces (you won't be tp'ing in it, or ws'ing in it, because it's made for much lower level).

Same for relic. Empyrean I agree with, except that, to fight stupid overcrowding, because everyone's a run now, I'd make sch and geo feet paper drop off any feet paper nm, head paper off any head paper NM. This would do a great deal for players trying to get other paper that noone wants to help with.

There's not really a worry about space when it comes to AF, Relic or EMP with moogle slips. And I do have to say a few pieces of AF are kind of useless, but rather have them and look like I'm trying than what I see on a regular basis coming into Abyssea. The other bonus is that most of the stuff can be upgraded and that's always nice. For me personally though, I'm OCD and I like collecting all the sets ^^;

Leveling isn't relevant anymore? To you, perhaps. However, you're not the only person playing this game. This is an MMO, which means there are OTHER PEOPLE playing this game along with you. People really need to stop acting like they're the only ones that matter.

And regarding inventory, pfft, Moogle Slips {Do you need it?} Your arguments are invalid.

I do agree that most Lv. 50-60 AF pieces are "meh" at best. If anything, good macro pieces. Relic armor can be relevant, especially when made to +2. However, that's all going to entirely depend on what stats the SE Development Team put on the AF/Relic. GEO/RUN Empyrean Armor will most likely be the creme de la creme of JSE armor for RUN and GEO.

Regardless, I'm more interested in the stories behind the jobs and I'm hoping the AF quests shed some light on both RUN and GEO.

Leveling, in the way that af assisted, isn't relevant. To level now, MOST PEOPLE, join book burns, or solo books a few levels lower. AH gear does just as good.

Unless RUN has a piece that says Enhances "Forbidden key expertise", AF1 isn't relevant.

True, it may get old, but Ultimately that's what you need from time to time. I used to have lots of gear sways for BLU, but not so much anymore, but my PUP is loaded out with AF and Relics as well as Emp. All of which swap-out regularly. Same thing for SMN, go Yinyang Robe + Carbuncle Mitts

I can think of a few stats which would be relevant to the job on AF gear... Enhancing Magic, Fast Cast, Enhances Job Ability/Trait... just to name a few.

Sure, it's easy to come up with. What I'm saying is: Why would you encourage SE to ask you to carry around a piece of gear for macros.

Because for now, they have little Enhancing gear and JA enhancing gear for RUN, I would rather carry extra gear thats helpful, than to not have the effects at all...

Does this include the AF quests? From your statement it seems that it doesn't, but in the past, Limit Break quests for jobs like BLU, PUP, COR, SCH, and DNC have required the completion of the Artifact Armor quests, so I'm a little confused here.

I'm wondering if this includes the artifact armor quests as well, given the reason above. I hope so.

Regarding not asking for Artifact Armor simply because of the change of pace in exp and inventory space seems like an invalid counterpoint to not releasing it. Players completely have the option to not complete the artifact armor storyline. Don't do it is all I can really say to that. There's a lot more benefit to releasing them than to not do so.

I personally would like to see some enhancing gear for RUN and GEO to get pieces that either lower luopan decay or add Geomancer or Handbell skill to increase potency of buffs/debuffs further than currently. I'd also be interested in the storyline of these jobs fleshed out through the artifact armor quests.

I'm very interested in Adoulin's storyline and hope to see it increase in any capacity.

Thing is though, the Artifact armor is the only thing that GEO and RUN will get that will enhance their abilities.

I am also eagerly anticipating the GEO/RUN AF, Relic, Empyrean, and merits. I can understand doling them out one update at a time, but the longer we're forced to wait, the less interested I become. It's a shame, because I think the unique storylines and armor for each job add so much flavor to the game that other MMORPGs lack.

Will Sylvie ever get her act together? Does the Lifestream have a will of its own? Where does Octavien keep all of those Sowilo Claymores? I'm dying to know! :)

I think many people take "AF" to include af+1/2/relic gear etc., otherwise it is kinda moot for a lot of players due to the leveling speed of the game. They need to *finish* RUN and GEO, which means all that tasty class-specific merits/rme/af/relic/etc., they *need*.

I still regularly use my Scholar's Mortarboard and my Scholar's Gown (and Klimaform if you want to count that in), so anyone who says that AF1 is useless can go suck it.

It's not that its not useful at all, but rather that it's not something you constantly have on. While everyone has macro swap stuff, there is gear that you actually wear a lot more than others. Not that many AF/relic armors, especially for non-mages, still command a high level of use.

Even at their respective levels AF and relic armours were not full timed, they have always been macro pieces.

Arguably some of the AF1 and relic gears were completely useless. Some are still useful at 99 but you would never full time it(NIN AF1+1 body I think is an exception, haven't used NIN in awhile though so could be wrong)

Pieces of AF1+1 that I currently still have a use for:

NIN body, DNC head, body and legs, SCH body and head, WHM hands, BLU body.

At 99 DRK, I still use my full AF.
