Can we please have some server merges?

Hello! I am playing right now, it is 3 AM (or close to it). I have no one to play with. I am currently in Ronfaure and wishing I had a party to hang out with. Would it be possible to have some server merges? I miss the days when I could /sea all and get close to 3,000 people online. I mean, this is an MMORPG, we need the MMO part back. Please implent the server merges ASAP. THank you! :o

It's bad enough trying to find a decent area to do reives where there's not a group of 70+ people running around trashing them in 2 mins flat. The last thing we need to do is bog the server down with more people, more lag, less chance to gain points when doing reives.

For reference, it's just gone 12:15 BST here and there's 2659 people on. That's close enough to 3000, you're just on at the wrong time. Sorry.

No thank you, markets for certain high priced items are already extremely saturated as it is. Besides nobody wants to work together anyway for menial things, get a mule like everyone else.

Isn't this from the same guy who made that one thread about making the rest of SoA an DLC for more money? Can't find it GMs must've nuked it lol.

You could merge all the servers into one and you still wouldn't get a party in Ronfaure. Game play has changed, for better or for worse, and there is no way to make it go back.

There's a certain thing I'd like you to do involving a fire.

Game population is fine, player base needs less slackers who just complain and idle, but population is fine.

Server merging isn't going to solve the problem of not having people in Ronfaure. Takes 2 hours tops to get to a level where you can party w/ 18 people in Gusgen Mines. SE would not mind, however, if you were to take marketing into your own hands and rejuvinate the "new player" population.

Your problem isn't the lack of people, it's playing a video game at 3:00 AM.

Who the hell parties in Ronfaure? I didn't do that 10 years ago, much less now. Also, no thanks to a server merger.

I'm seeing no lack of people on Shiva at any hour of the day.

As others said- you're not going too get a party in ronfaure unless you have a friend that wants to team up with you. you can get from level 1 in ronfaure to level 20 in the dunes in a matter of hours. Use an XP ring to help speed it along, or wait for another double exp event.

Even in the early days of the game, you didn't usually party below level 10.

This thread is proof that FFXI is alive and...somewhat well. I don't think this game is going to die soon.

no thanks, Ilike actually having access to content without having to contend with groups just pamming thing over and over. I'm here to fight mobs, not other players.

Many reasons why... but primarily, you really want to compete with more ppl for gukumatz, and the constant 20 people in the dreamland dynamises... so again (add that magic word again) NO!!!!!!!!!

Yup he is trolling, seriously, no one partying at level 5, especially since you hit level 5 in just 15 mnts or so the minute you goes outside killing easy preys. Rather have slightly dead server than overpopulated one. Who really wants to compete with tons of people, 500-800 people at a time is more than plenty to do things. You don't really want to have more than 60 people in one zone at a time.

Not to mention that if he wanted people to hang out with in ronfaure, it's almost guaranteed that on Phoenix there's ~10 people fish-botting in West Ronfaure that he could go and hang out with lol.

im also on shiva and i concur with Alhanelem. its now 6 am and i /sea all and got 2308 peoples. and yea nobody parties in ranfaruee anyway

The logic is the same but the account is probably different. It's hard to believe there are actual people in this world today that are so ~ cut ~ they are real life comic relief. It's just so stupid to see recommendations that are so back words they cause harm. It's like a child in a house that says "I smell gas!" and the one parent says "Okey lets test it by lighting a match."

We don't need merges all that will do is make more people leave.

It wouldn't help in the least. Abyssea has destroyed party-exp as it was known prior to the expansion, and you wouldn't find a party if five times the players were on the server. Your exp "parties" are actually alliances now. Gusgen, then later Crawler's Nest and Bost. Oubliette later.

Parties as you want it no longer exist. Ronfaure is a brief stop on the way to 12th or so, then if you want company, run to Gusgen and get in an exp alliance. At 55th, I just stepped into Crawler's Nest and got invited into an alliance in about 30 seconds...

Servers are fine like they are. No need to merge them anytime soon.
