I'm against flying mounts.
I am too i was think about riding around like a chocobo maybe a hover
If you have nothing constructive, please do not flame.
As long as they cannot violate terrian or fly you to a different zone, I don't see a problem in teh added flavor.
I could see ground mounts being a viable option aside from chocobos. A flying mount I don't see happening in ffxi. I think it would cause more problems than it would solve.
I'm all for being allowed to tame/mount mobs in the game though. Would be cool to have a tiger or Ul'hpemde to run around on.
Perhaps it can be something like, beat it down to low hp (similiar to how fishing works) then hop on it and as soon as you dismount, it disappears/runs away. Give a long cool down on it too, maybe an hour or so.
I want to ride Fenrir!
How about something that runs faster? I'd pay a premium from a NPC to have a faster chocobo.
I am a galka in game and i like the idea of a different mount other than the standard choco. I propose a giant chigoe that can hop at current flee speeds.
A galka on a chigoe is a little excessive. Would just be wrong to see. I would say if it was ever implemented, there would have to be restrictions on which races can ride which mounts.
Galka: Dhalmel, Yovra, Wyverns (big ones).
Taru: Chigoe, Rarab, Wyvern (small ones)
Hume/Mithra/Elvaan: Everything else.
While I am normally anti wow related concepts I do approve of this idea. Growing your own chocobo is cool, and all yet not everyone has the time to commit to the growth process. Introducing a mount that is quested (preferably a hard quest outside abyssea) would be very much appreciated by all players on console. The simple reason being that there is a significant % of pc players who flee hack everywhere. I understand SE doesn't want to ban anymore players on a game with a dwindling userbase. This would serve to balance things out a tad for those of us who don't resort to cheating.
