Alot of hope was placed in this set as it was hopefully to be a new set for Melee maging, however I believe it disappoints from that greatly, as I had expected much more from it by this point.
Now, the Fea's set.
Head has decent Enfeebling power, but still hard to say that it beats out our other 2, has no real nuke power as our AF3+2 head should be better unless getting resisted, and 0 other good stats on this piece.
Body is just bad. Doubtful that the Refresh is higher than 2/tic, no body beats AF3+2 for Enfeebling, and the MAB on it is not high enough to be good.
Hands are good for CDC, Haste will not beat Brego, Blue skill is worthless on RDM, MAB is trash next to Nares, nothing but CDC hands for RDM, finally matching Athos.
Legs are at best, for Fast Cast, Enhancing and Enfeebling are done by Portent already and at higher numbers, MND is lol next to Rubeus, and HP/MP is nothing important.
Feet are some more WS gear, against Morrigan's, its either 2STR/2MND or 9Attack/9Acc which is the only important difference, Enhancing doesn't come close to our AF3+2, Dark skill and INT are nothing much since RDM is no longer important for Chainspell stun really.
Overall, Fea's is a mostly mage set version of Morrigan's. Its stats still fall short of expectations though, the gear just doesn't match up to other gear we see in other events, and fails to correct many of RDM's gear problems it has that keep it from being a better job. Some pieces are ok, the Feet and Hands mostly, the Legs dependent on the amount of Fast Cast on them, but everything else just doesn't cut it, and will probably be just another piece of gear RDM can get that has little to no use.
This is my 'review' on the new gear, and how I think it looks by compare to RDM's other options, mainly the more obtainable ones, but all were taken into account. Anyone have anything to add, or see something in this gear that I missed?

Morrigan's is now the WS set for RDMs not using CDC, basically. Some of the pieces are pretty reasonable. I'm only disappointed because they didn't put a single piece of Haste on the entire set. It's a let down, but it's not like we got nothing, which is what some updates actually consist of.

The ranged Acc item is only 1 more than Oneiros Pebble, and 2 more than Astrolabe, not much in my opinion. The Fire/Wind staves are ok, but are bad compared to the trial staves, which is why they are not worth mentioning to me, the belt is... decent, however Acc is its only benefit, and only on KoR, for Req Soil is best so far as I know and it gives Acc as well. Also, Prosilio is still better for KoR if Acc isn't needed because it has more STR/Attack, only losing in the Double Attack problem, though I am honestly not sure how far that goes in importance. I like how its good WS and nuke gear, but it still seems lack luster for an entire set from an event that did give some hope for some new TP pieces as well, especially after seeing the quality of other sets such as Thaumas and Athos in the recent past, which RDM has had no access to. -

It really is disappointing that they really didn't give us a single piece of TP gear. I'm not saying that they had to give us the best TP gear in the game, but I was really looking forward to wearing a Morrigan's Body full time, or really anything new. Not a lot to get excited about. I would classify this as another lackluster patch for RDM gear.

If the body had Haste +5% it would be worth looking at, as it stands it's a WS piece for MS, KoTR, DB and Req. Honestly that set is for everyone except RDM though it does bear striking resembling to the old "MOAR HYBRID PIECES" argument that Seriha used to make.
At no point in time does anyone need Acc / Atk and M.Atk / M.Acc. Rarely do you need MND, INT, STR and Attack / Acc on the same piece.
It would be a good set for sang blade ... if we got it natively. -

for what it's worth, morrigan +1 body is still what it was before, the best tp/autorefresh piece.
i know the bar is pretty low there, but when you think about it; the value of autorefresh is directly tied to how much time you spend wearing it. and if you were gonna TP in a refresh body, that'd be the one you want. (assuming it's worth +2/tic, which i wouldn't doubt) so while it's not the best tp body, it might have a niche in a TP set anyway.
of course, the other side of that coin is if you need the mp that badly, it's not melee time :\ -

Honestly most of that gear is for BLU as they can't wear nares and have some limited Req options. Kinda sad that SE would screw RDM over again while buffing the sh1t out of BLU. -

Come to think of it, Morrigan's +1 in all slots except hands, put Athos in Hands, then keep most/all of RDM's gear for the other slots and BLU can probably hit around the same WS stats as RDM with Req now...

BG has it listed that morrigans body is actually mistranslated, and has +13 attack on top of everything else we're already aware of.

Morrigan's was better for Req and KoR with or without the Attack, with it its just more powerful, but changes nothing about my initial assessment of the gear really. RDM got some good WS pieces, I think 1 or 2 nuking pieces, and the rest is worthless. Out of 10 pieces of gear, I think about 5 of them have some use, some more than others, between roughly 12 sets of gear or more. If you want my "final" sets for RDM as of right now, here you are, you can see how big or small a dent the Neo-Salvage gear made.

Yeah he basically just explained it. Either way the Double Attack is not pointless, its to counter the effects of Prosilio, while Prosilio give the mass attack and STR which is amazing for KoR either way you look at it. Fea's looks nice too, just wasn't sure if the Attack/Acc would beat out the other 2 STR/MND, but now that I have the spreadsheets working again on my PC, I should be able to look into it either way. I'm sure that Fea's will win though, especially since the Acc/Attack is always nice with RDM.

Fea's should definitely win as KoTR is only 40% MND / STR.
2 * .40 * .85 = +0.68 DMG.
Vs on something like Req
2 * .85 = 1.7 DMG
I try not to see things as "canceling out" but rather raising your DA from 18 to 23. Brutal is no more canceling out prosilo as Atheling or Temper is. It's just the best item for each slot with Prosilo having a negative side effect similiar to Rancor Collar / Mantle. -

You should never need it for KoTR, Req or CDC maybe but not KoTR.
KoTR is a 1 hit ws (two if DW). The first hit, like nearly all WS's, has a large accuracy boost. This gives the first hit a 95% accuracy rate, meaning a 5% miss rate.
If your single wielding and use KoTR there is always a 5% chance of you missing even on EP / TW monsters.
