Hey Squenix, can you add a scroll of instant repatriation to conquest guards? It would be absolutely fantastic and I would love you for it.
Yes, I know we have manuals/tomes, but sometimes we are in an area far away from those.

Yes, I know we have manuals/tomes, but sometimes we are in an area far away from those.
There are some in game already called a glyphs. you get them free if you have 6 or more people rank 3 plus from same nation (not sure 4-6). The gate guard warps you to the area and hands you a scroll. You can attempt to take over an area or just keep the scroll.
i'd like these to be easier to get, we have synergy earrings though so I doubt they'll give these out.
Yeah, but that is a lot of time spent to get a single use scroll. If you can't get it quickly from a guard (or something), the whole point in them is gone nowadays.
"Repatriation" Yes Please.
Greetings,
We certainly understand your request to have Scrolls of Instant Repatriation as a purchasable item from Conquest Overseers. However, if we were to do this, most people would set their homepoint in Jeuno and we all know how crowded it already is! Therefore, there are currently no plans to have this implemented.
Teleport to Dem/Mea/Holla and there's a manual. Run outside any zone of Jeuno and you'll find a manual. Not hard to get to I think.
I didn't say it was hard to get to. In fact, having to run across all of Vana'diel wouldn't be "hard" either, just inconvenient and a waste of time.
By that logic, if the devs added warps directly to Jeuno from the home nations, everyone will set their home points in their home nation. Actually, thinking about that... If I could I might actually do such a thing. And perhaps if people had an even easier time getting to the other nations, such as scrolls of Repatriation (Or even the spell itself), there'd be less congestion in Jeuno because they'd be spending less time there. Although I personally just teleport to the Abyssea Attohwa maw and run to the outpost and warp to home nation. It's essentially the same thing but I still keep my home point in Jeuno precisely because of that; I can get to home nation easily but I can't get to Jeuno nearly as easily. Only way to get there "fast" is to run to the NPC that teleports you to White Gate, then buying a silver piece, then running to the taru that teleports you to Ru'Lude. Not very efficient.
I'm not trying to insult the devs or anything when I say this but it feels their train of thought is very linear, and they never try to see both sides of the same coin. They'll rather ignore a simple request that'd be helpful and ease frustrations of the player base on the single notion that the addition might, perhaps, sorta, kinda, maybe, slightly, be negative. You could always test such things on the live servers to see if what you think is actually true and remove it if it doesn't work. If what you say is true and it causes congestion and you remove the scrolls, nobody will blame you... And nobody will care if you perform an experiment on the live servers. I think most people would even appreciate the gesture at least.
Although adding a means of getting to Jeuno from Home Nations would be better than Repatriation. Yes, it'd truly make airships useless but nobody uses them anyways. Perhaps give players a reason to use airships such as quests with good rewards to fix that particular issue.
this ^^^^ I'd love it... Shoot, just decrease the airship time to instant or hyper 30 sec cs get on, get off, instead of actually ride for the duration, ..... With all the warps available, you think the airship industry would have tried to keep up. If I could see the shouts of jeuno, warp to jeuno ,by some other means than via wg, or ancient airships, my HP would always be in my home nation.
Screw the repatriation. Isn't it about time that they just opened up the chcocobo circuit so that you could enter / exit in any city? Blm SPells to warp to your home nation? WHM spells to warp to any city? (Yes pleas!)
Scrolls of Repatriation already exist.

If you'd make /yell work in every zone in the 3 nations as well as Jeuno, you'd never have to worry about congestion.
what about adding scrolls of instant retrace to conquests NPCs? THAT would be useful.
How would an officer in the present be able to give you a scroll that teleports you to the past?
They found the maws like everyone else.
Almost everyone homepoints in Jeuno anyway. Look at all the things you can do in Jeuno that you can't do elsewhere:
1. Seal Storage/Orb Purchasing
2. Teleporting to BCs
3. Magian Trials
4. See shouts for VW or other activities that require a group
Here's all the things you can only do in your home nation:
1. Access storage behind furnishings
2. Teleport to Outposts
3. Use Explorer Moogle to get to anywhere but Jeuno (requires Ease of Exploration)
Points 2 and 3 aren't actually all that useful in the wake of VW teleports. As others have already pointed out, getting to Jeuno is a bigger pain in the ass than it is to get home. Sure, you can use VW teleports, but that's considerably more expensive than using other options to go the other way.
As it has been more or less said, everyone already have their home-point at Jeuno... If it was easier to get to, it would be different.
I always hang around in Bastok myself, but I still keep Jeuno as the home-point due to it being kind of far from the Outposts. I teleport to a crag to use the Field Manual to get home, so a scroll for this would really change nothing for me, but it would certainly be convenient, and very much appreciated.
I definitely can not see it making Jeuno more congested as a honest and serious reasoning against it. With all due respect, that seems more like a joke that makes no sense than anything else...
I actually laughed out loud when the rep mentioned people would only set their HP in Jeuno. Now we know for absolute sure that they don't play the game, at all.
How about adding scrolls of instant warp as temp items in Abyssea and Voidwatch? Would be super useful and would eliminate having to click through menus to get more scrolls.
So, I am smh trying to understand this logic. Instant Repatriation sends one to their home nation. What difference does it make where ones home point is set? I whole heartedly agree that it is extremely easy to get to ones home nation via books or VW tele, but if you are going to give some excuse to say no, at least find an excuse that actually makes sense.

Old screenshot, btw, it's actually 20 hours now.
Someone had mentioned speeding up the airship for Jeuno.
That kind of messes with some of the quests and discerning individual.... however I was thinking something along the lines of Final Fantasy 12.
In FFXII when you use the airship, you have the option of taking a private cabin or a luxury cruiser. In the private cabin, you simply go to your destination instantly (sans load time). Luxury Cruiser you can ride it and shop, do a quest, etc. I would imagine they could implement something like this into FFXI.
When you purchase the ticket, it could give you a similar option. Choose the one option and it's the old airship. Choose the new option and after you walk through the door, the game loads and you end up in port Jeuno/Nation where the airship normally docks you.
I think that's an option if you wanted to update the airship.
Pst... Hey, make all Warp, Retrace and Repatriation Scrolls Ex. No Rare properties. Stack up to 12 or 99. Will be a big help when you forget to pick up a new one the instant you use it. Especially when you're in a rush to get somewhere.
Need to make nexus cape easier to use. I know in FF14 you spend points or something to warp to party leaders all the time and the rate at which it regenerates is pretty decent such that you never run out.
Do players even have to walk in 14? I've seen videos of it and there seems to be multiple outposts throughout a zone they can warp to after having visited. They can warp to certain guilds or buildings within the city, they can warp directly to a party leader and then they can warp between cities.
How exactly do you warp directly to the party leader in FF14?
