Level 75 Abyssea

Does anyone remember when you could get an exp party in Abyssea for level 70's? Now people seem to think that 70s are not high enough to be useful yet when Abyssea was introduced 75 was the MAX you could be. It kinda makes me laugh at how short our memories are.

Due to how abyssea works mobs tend to be lv90+, anyone without amazing atma will not be able to solo mobs if they are lv75. Back at 75 cap mobs shouldn't have been reaching lv90 without it being an actual 6man type party, now you are expected to be able to solo mobs, or you are a waste of space for the most part.

Ok let me understand this. In an 18 man alliance you are required to solo or be a waste? I really hope you are wrong on this, Demon.

Maybe it does make sense when you consider half the level 80s stand by the wall afk for the whole party. Some one has to take up their slack.

It is sadly the case in most partys I see, most expect you to be able to solo by using atma so that they can add more DDs. By adding more DDs you get more xp/cruor, and so it is more favorable. I do hate the pickyness of partys on that part because honestly in my opinion if you can fight, and you can at least hurt the mob enough that it shows, yours good to go, no party should be without a healer and its on the healers and the leaders(by inviting healers) to keep people alive.

A threw up my party flag on my 75 WAR and got an Abyssea invite within 10 minutes.

yes you expected to solo like in a worm party so they die faster. And as for the lvl 80s leeching they can just kick leechers.. Leeching is kinda getting out of hand. While on bahamut i was showing some returners the gusgen b0ook burn. And tried getting them in. They only had 1 spot, and this "party" had 3-5 leechers. No one was gonna kick them. We ended up just 6 maning a dunes party with a PL.

They're worthless because they can't deal as much damage. I'm not saying I mind people leveling their jobs in Abyssea -- I like keyers from 30+ really. But, what pisses me off is how level 70s get off thinking they're no longer leeches just because of their level. No. they're still leeches. Their damage sucks, their gear sucks, and their skills suck. In the end, they suck just as much as people at level 30 in Abyssea.

But at least keyers OPEN chests so I don't have to waste my cruor. Therefore they're more beneficial to me than any level 70. I can solo pretty effectively in Abyssea, and my exp/merits are maxed out. I personally do about half, if not more, of the party's exp per hour, and if someone level 70 dares to try and say they're holding up the same amount of weight they're sorely mistaken.

ya i remember this very well. also when people worked together at 70-75 to get at the lvl 80 cap. but now abyssea works like this. invite like 9 lvl90+ and the 9 lvl 30s leech. so is that how abyssea works now?><

more or less ya, same for book burns in gusgen mines and crawlers nest.

this is leveling and meriting now in ffxi
1) solo to 10
2) go to gusgen mines get page 1 and stand there
2) after 25 go to gusgen mines get the bee and crawler page then go auto follow or stand in the middle of the hall
3) after 30 go to abyssea and either key box open or just stand there.
thats how it works now this is end game as i seen it either 1 of 3 choices.
1) solo it
2) leech it
3 zerg after proc hits

idk.. my guess to make them seem smarter or something.

kinda of getting irritated by some of the way ppl post on here.

bytw i meant to say crawlers nest not mines again.

It depends on the area. For vision areas 70 is fine for scars 80+ for heroes 85+.

me vs 90% of the people that wanna leech. every pt i make or join people only wanna leech in. guess that what the kids do for fun now n days right?
