GEO and RNF AF, Relic, and empyrean Armor Quests

Dear Dev team,

Please do not take the easy way out.

For AF take the route you did with the DNC AF quests story and having someone craft or create the other stuff for you. I'd be ok if only one piece of AF had to be coffer quested.

Don't just add the Relic and Empyrean armors for GEO and RNF to Dynamis and Abyssea areas, I'd accept this solution if you added either a new Dynamis or Abyssea zone (or both) to the Adoulin areas and the armors could be acquired there.

Main reason I'm asking this is that when you keep adding new job armors to the mix, Relic becomes less likely to be acquired in a reasonable amount of time. This applies for the Empyrean feet as well

OR go back to the "real" jobs and go hunting for treasure coffers. Having someone craft your AF was the easy way out imo. ^_^

Can't argue with that, It was easy unless you happened to be strapped for gil.

I'd like to point out that nothing since the Zilart jobs has been coffer-quested... the areas associated with the later expansions are far too high-level for a lv50 to go running around trying to get armor.

In all reality, there probably still won't be coffers for these jobs. Also, coffers were not 'easy mode'. Back in the day... blah blah blah SMN 50 Temple of uglypig blah blah blah died a zillion times blah blah blah hate Tonberries so much blah...

I found the ToAU job AF quests to be rather annoying. But any forced waiting period annoys me, be it one in-game day or JP midnight.
Realistically, SE will more than likely have the AF quests centered in the new zones associated with the expansion, they'll want to draw people over there rather than have them hang out in all the old areas.

Relics won't get new jobs unless they're going to add ToAU/WotG jobs to them as well, and they've already stated they wouldn't due to storyline.

Though there's virtually no storyline around Empyrean weapons so would be easy to add jobs to them.

Mythics are 1 per job even where 2 jobs share a weapon type (staves). So there's storyline to them but could get around it easily enough, and would be nice since there's no mythic greatsword.

Edit: oh and the idea to add new zones solely for the purpose of empyrean/relic armors works out horribly, due to the lack of interest the other jobs would get from it. That causes less of a problem with dynamis since it's soloable now but empyrean would be a pain and are you really asking for the dynamis story to get convoluted just for the sake of relic?

No not really, was just trying to increase chance to get Relic Armor, if it's going to be added. I'd prefer that they'd just skip Relics and just do AF and Empyrean. AF for the job storyline, and Empyrean because It's current ..

Relic armor could work, we were never told everything about ALL of the members of the hydra corps (which is how we get the armor/weapons). AF1 armor is most likely going to be in the same quest-line with the job quest. Empyrean armor seals will most likely be added to the most annoying seal mobs (as if any are really annoying).

I think it would be nice if they just added 1 set of armor with AF3+2 like stats that were acquired through some quests or something. Most AF and AF2 is worthless anyway, so how about we just skip the trash, and add 5 pieces of good gear, instead of 9 bad pieces, 3 macro pieces, 2 pieces that are good like 65% of the time and 1 thats always good.

How about we Limbus to convert AF to relic, then Dymanis to convert relic to Empyrean basic, then Abyssea to get Emp +1 then 2? Sounds like a good compromise to me and you only have to keep 5 slots open for the armor.

This is more than likely what will happen, haha.

The first few days after the patch are going to be war, as people are desperate to FC the new jobs to 99 within hours and camp NMs for drops for armor, spells, anything related to the jobs.

The drama will be glorious!
