Idea for future content!

This is just an idea, but I think it would bring lots of smiles to the Final Fantasy XI players.

Invite all the bosses from previous Final Fantasy games and add them to FFXI. A cameo of the FF bosses in FFXI would be really nice.

We are also missing Biggs and Wedge, where are they?

This thread already happened, overwhelming no.

They save fun things like that for Kingdom Hearts and Dissidia. We're not allowed to have nice things.

Cause that is where all new everything is going. New content and a revamping of ffxi is a pipe dream at this point. I still play just for nostalgia more than anything but have no expectations of anything other than more nerfs and time sync/filler coming our way

100% true...i'm scared that they're going to turn the new "dungeon crawl" system into "Goblin-Game-Gobblers" (see what i did there).

Well I just hope this takes some consideration from the Dev Team. It's a fun idea to work around and have some spin offs from other games into this one ( most likley to happen in FFXIV) but it shouldn't be hard to implement. Dev Team has proven that they can do new stuff, new 3d models of mobs etc etc etc. And what's even more interesting is that they have the assets to make it happen. Just need that first step.

Damn right that is what going to happen!! Crappy contents inspired by previous content with near impossible to get reward and you need third party program to get it done. Unless they actually learn something with Abyssea and make a version 2.0 that is better, more addictive, very accessible and fun. Oh yeah, I just remember, they hate Abyssea with passion because the group that created it now move to FF14 to fix that hot mess.

They hate Abyssea, but it isn't because of that.

I was under the impression that our new team hates fun and the idea of players having it for any reason. Case in point: Play the game for 5 minutes doing any random activity aside from sitting in your MH and trolling LS mates.

Why would I smile at them recycling old bosses? And as others have said, their spin-off series are where they do things like this.

They hate it because its an actual fun content that is way too fast too consumed for people who do nothing but playing FFXI and those with big groups. For the rest of the players, abyssea is still fun, gives tons of stuffs to do, and many reasons to still doing it. All the contents after Abyssea are back to their old usual crappy tricks, extremely low drop rates, 30-60 minutes shouts with jobs xyz needed more than others, third party hacks and a rotating army of scholars, or summoners, contents that are not worth your time to do it because the risk reward ratio is unbalanced, etc...

I'd just like to point out the pictures that were released of new (yes, actually new, NOT reskinned) character models for the Yeti-type-thing and Mole-type-thing mobs, and new gear that's associated with the latest roadmap.

Trying not to get my hopes up too much about what those could belong to, but it's refreshing to see some actual new content in the works, and not just revamps of existing content.

Having said that, if the new recycled content is fun, who cares? :) I like Abyssea and new dynamis, and void watch for that matter.

As long as they make it fun, accessible for all, addictive, easy reward risk ratio, attainable content without the need of cheating and third party hack tools - then it's all good. They can and should revised some older contents and add more rewards to it. Some contents seems to be more popular to the japanese player base, for example: Walk of Echoes. They should make both empyrean via abyssea and walk of echoes identical since they are both about the same when it comes to completion time, with abyssea ones being much easier due to demands.
