FFXI Withdraws Yet?

Just wondering, who's missing ffxi already? I am. I just wanna get on mnk and go punch stuff without reason or even do stuff I never feel like doing such as sorting my inventory. Am I an addict to be missing the game already? <o><o>;

I'm not gonna lie, I miss FFXI quite a bit. I just got back into the game 2 weeks ago I believe, & I desire to satisfy my Conquest wants/needs all over Vana Diel!!

I haven't played in a couple of weeks. Things are happening in real life, after all. I almost feel bad to miss it though, since they're doing it for a good reason and there are so many people suffering right now in Japan.

Yea, I feel bad about missing it too and I dont mind giving them all the time they need. I'll be here when they get back, i'm not going anywhere.

I think because I've been on the forums everyday or I have been back in FFXI for a month after a 2yr break and only started doing things 2wks before the shutdown that I haven't felt the urge to play.

Now I wonder who is gonna crack first.

Just returned and now cant play, missing it a lot >< nothing else to play.

Not going to lie, yes I miss it. Like most others here however, I'm OK with all of this because ti's to conserve power to sustain efforts to save human life. Does that change the fact I miss it? Not at all

more than the game itself, I miss all the friends I had there. it feels weird to not be able to chat will all of them everyday. And the fact that an ocean keeps us apart doesn't help either lol ; ; miss you all TheReturners friends!

Since Square have made no further announcements of possible other arrangements and the damage to the power stations could very easily lead to the servers being down for a month or more I think you should probaly get used to it. Been 2 days, 1-2 months to go.

I really wish I could play ffxi right now. I was on my thf in a [A] La Theine Plateau worm party when I heard the news of ffxi going down. I had just gotten my thf high enough to use my th4 hands that I won in a free lot in dyna tav. I managed to get to 86 before I had to warp out due to servers shutting down. I really want to get back in there and get thf to 90 to have th5, but it can't be helped. I've taken up killing zombies on left 4 dead 2, but it doesn't quite fill the void. Here's to a steady recovery Japan, good luck and hopefully this downtime will help save some lives. Best wishes Japan doods.

I made a post yesterday and a lot of people got on their high horse, will be funny to make the post again in a month and see the difference. People like that are usually cool till it has a serious effect on them, then they change their whole outlook.

Suddenly the suggestion of a major company setting up rented servers or something in their american office to keep the game running will look a lot more appealing to everyone.

I feel you. Wanna hurry up and play already lol

I miss it but only to a degree. It's kind of nice to not feel so tied down to a game. Kind of freeing, you know?

Of course, I'll be back on as soon as the servers are up. I just got all my cut scenes for Shinryu fight when they went down.

At the moment I actually miss being able to play more then playing itself. I have gone without ffxi for longer then 3 days, but the notion of it not being there kinda makes it harder.

While I miss it I am just fine without it. And the only thing I am really missing atm is the friends I can't just call up.

dont know what you posted but SE need money, its a fact. ppl need salary too.
a month of stop is woth something like 4m dollar to square (350k account for 12$ not counting mule and such).
ff14 was a failure and its living on ff11 shoulders.
said that: keep the game running on the server of the american division of square is an option. doesnt really need to rent server from other companies, i suppose.

dont make baseless assumptions like that. until you hear from se dont make claims you cant support.

I had to suspend the game back in July last year because the real world doesn't like me (no job, so cut back expenses). Life had gotten better and the hubby and I were coming back. We'd just re-upped middle of last week and the first time we'd had to play was Sunday.....

So we'd gotten excited to dip our toes in again, but were not able to. We are both fine with waiting though. One (or two, or four or whatever it ends up being) more week won't kill us. Between us we have most of the members of our ls on Facebook or AIM or whatever, so all we're missing is our Wyverns.

I'm not really gonna through any withdraws but my wife wants the servers up ASAP, i keep following her around the house like Buck in rut. Got nothing better to do then run up on her and smack dat ass.,

I just finished my 85 emp weapon the night before so yea I'm having withdrawals. Having said that, my thoughts are with Japan and they'll be back when they're ready, there is no time limit for this.

I'm having trouble getting used to no FFXI as well. I forgot what I used to do during my break from it last year. I had just gotten DRK AF3+1 after a full week of beating on Whiro and Ironclad Smiter. At least I got a big thing accomplished before servers went down.

My friend of mine, a new player, is going crazy too. She is on skype with me now and she's talking about all the things she wants to do when she gets back. Hearing her talk about it is making me want to lvl MNK again too (she's also a DRK, but leveled MNK for fun and loves it).

Hnnnnng! @_@ Why does FFXI have to be that good of a game? Arglebargle!

I just hope i still get 3 stones per day while servers are down, gonna suck only having 10 stones still when it comes back up.

hehe I love that everyone on here knows what that means. ^^

The only thing that worries me is if they do the merger while the servers are down. I have a lot of stuff in my DBox, and I didnt get a chance to get on the day before due to home life...And I tried to log in Sunday to get my stuff out, and found the game down. So I hope before the mergers happens the game will be up so I can empty out my Dbox and AH.

I had the most bazaar ffxi related dream last night ........ I'm waiting for the fever and the chills to set in.

Funny thing is, right before the announcement of servers being shut down, I had logged off in anger because someone claimed a NM I had spent a couple hours camping. My friends told me to take a few days off and... what do you know, servers went offline.

Since it's been a couple of days now, I'm definitely over my petty anger and just want to get back in and level DNC on my alt. :(

I'm doing fine not playing. I have a backlog of games to catch up on, and now's the chance to actually finish some of them.

Yeah ive been bored without it i take breaks here and there and I just got off of a break of playing and now i cant, but hey it gives me time to do a little leveling up in CoD black ops.. maybe ill pick up 13 again and work on getting my last 2 trophies for that even.. i doubt it but theres always hoping

For me, it's more of a background thing. I spent a lot of time in game. And, it was always up when I was at home. But, often, I would wander off and do something else if nothing seemed to be going on in the shell.

There's nothing wrong with missing the game.

I miss the game.

Most of us here who miss the game will also agree that it is in everyone's best interest to have the game down for awhile. Wanting to play the game does not make you a selfish jerk. :/ You can miss something while also accepting the reason it's gone.

Finally sitting down and playing Final Fantasy XIII. Good game I wish I'd sat down with sooner even tho I really hate hope.
