Skill Ups in LVL Synch

I have a huge problem with his. I returned to the game from a 3 year break. When i left there was no lvl sync or abyssea so I had alot to learn. I have always been a mage but wanted to have a good DD for more soloing so I decided to keep leveling my MNK.(which was 54 at this time) I would get lvl sync parties & loved it, after about 2 weeks i was now lvl 74 and wanted to take my monk to abyssea & get to 90 to do some real dmg.

The problem is my H2H skill was only 203 and cap is 361. I never even thought of not getting any skill up until I was lvl 90 doing crit hits for 12 ; ;. I have since got my H2H to 340 in a week of soling and building it.

What I would like to see here is being able to skill up while in Lvl Sync. I believe more people would use this as a way to skill many weapons & also gain XP/Merits at the same time.

Post any suggestions to this topic but please don't be a player basher. I am just trying to think of something different to not make this game any easier but make better use of a system that already exists but needs a little tweek..

If you are really desperate for skill ups, you can AFK skill up in Castle Z. (S) on Fortalices. Just get the lowest damage weapon possible (h2h won't really work, you kill too fast) and engage. You can skill up to around 80 there I believe since you can cap skills on DC.

Although It would be a nice addition, I don't feel like its really necessary. It is very easy to go out solo to skillup and re-cap.

lvl sync skill ups? No thank you. It's not hard to find an area to skill up. Hell there are even areas with books you can use.

I would like to see skill ups during campaign. you used to be able to if you didn't have tags on, but SE stopped that :(

Meh Castle Z is just like afk leeching in abyssea & not really to productive. All i am trying to do is make skilling up a bit more {fun} mind you i did my emp. weapon while skilling up so it was actually really productive.

I'd be down with campaign skill-ups, but something about level sync skill-ups just feels "Meh". I mean, in theory, your skill represents your competency, and a higher level mob should also be more competent. Meaning, no matter how good you get at killing level 10 rabbits, you are not prepared for a level 80 rabbit, or anything level 80 for that matter. I can sympathize with your desire for easier skill-ups, but I also feel like they recently addressed that with the recent patch as well.

Skillups in level synch would be horrible. Synching is bad enough now...between the aby leechers and the synchers it is enough to make your eye twitch trying to find a party for areas above 30+.

I would find it very strange that a person with a great axe skill of 300 would somehow get better at wielding it after smashing it into a lv10 bunny.

That being said, it is also pretty strange that you can gain exp from a creature like that.

Lame! Just say no to level sync skill ups!

over using level sync is not SEs problem, its the players. It was not ment to be used all the time, and it makes sinse as it is anyway.

You can gain skilups in a level sync PT, up to the level you are synced to.

Its a tough question. I am not for easy ways to help leachers get skillups. I like the word competancy. I don't want to go into battle with an incompetant LVL 90 that didn't learn to fight in the trenches. But, for those that lvl in the regular areas honestly with lvl sync I would like to see skillups added.. Tough choice.

adding skillup to campagin would be better but leveling your job and skilling up is easy if especially if your high enough level it doesnt take long at all to skill up to cap especially since they reduced the level to a DC..
Keep in mind the fortifications can be skilled up in campagin as long as you dont have tags and you can do this to lvl 65 I think

skilling up can be fun if you do it in a simple way. your not the only one who is skill gimped. find a friend make a skill up party and have at it . i normally level to about 1-100 in qufim island. 100-150 in crawlers nest, 150-200 in kuftal, 200-250 in byoda tree. 250+ in abyssea. a simple /dnc or a mage and you can spend hours talking and farming and skilling up.
