so you're asking them to not give us a 5-minute timer version of invincible? :( /dislike
...how would it make Harden Shell useless? It'll already still be superior in situations where you need a more extended damage reduction (pyric won't last longer than 30 secs max, there's absolutely no way) and will always be useful for cannonball (if you use that anymore, I guess).
And that changes things how? How is a stoneskin or a sentinel effect in any way replacing a 100% defense boost? People seem to have trouble thinking logically on these boards.
Chill guys, just do not want another useless spell we will never use...i was fearing something like 25% pdt with a multiplication effect for 30 seconds. an invincibility would be awesome.
New spells (potentially, but unlikely since different effects) replacing old spells? The horror.
Spell works now. Seems to completely negate physical damage from 1 attack only. Uncertain if affected by Blue Skills.
I not yet test it but only 1 times completly null 1 physical dmg is sound like not that nice at all.
even i can think of how to use it, such as fight with some massive AOE physical mob (even mostly massive aoe is magical).
or use as Stoneskin in case of you blink tank ( even SS may beat it since SS may not break in single hit, and you need 5 min to have 1 pyric's SS)

I know that if it's effect null phy.atk for 30 sec may too power (it's like invincible already) if 10 sec may it's hard to say is will usefull or not.
Pyric Bulwark is a physical shield...like Magic Barrier.
Well... Better than I anticipated, though I am confused. Is it like a physical magic barrier (preferred) or a 1 hit absorber? duration is 30 seconds? Meh
Not quite.
When you use Pyric Bulwark, you gain the effect of Physical Shield for 3 minutes. However, the effect will wear off immediately after the first physical attack lands on you. For instance, the bunnies in Cape T. hits for ~25 damage. When I use Pyric Bulwark the bunny hits for 0 damage and the effect wears off (also works on special abilities such as whirl claw). It's not a stoneskin effect.... It simply seems to negate all Phsyical Damage from the next attack that connects on you. Magical Abilities will still go through Pyric Bulwark, skeleton was able to hit me with black cloud for 27 damage and Pyric Bulwark remained in effect.

I cast this spell with 480 Blue Skills and it still only blocks 1 physical attack... Honestly I would have no problem if this was a regular spell with a 1:30~3:00 recast but putting it on UL's 5 min recast makes it a tad bit underwhelming.
Wearing off after a 25 damage attack is underwhelming. It's beyond situational if it works based on next hit received no matter the amount... not to mention as you said being tied to UL.
I guess if you're evasion tanking something with a nasty AoE 2hr, like Briareus' 2hr, it would be nice (just in case). I would prefer this as a non ul spell as well, though.
Briareus isn't really dangerous at all really. Unless you fight him half asleep or something.
We already have two spells that nullify anything Briareus can do: Head Butt and Sudden Lunge.
Was a lazy example, yes. I can't think of any examples off the top of my head. 10,000 needles?
So this is the physical equivalent of a WHM's Sacrosanctity ( of course swapping in a Damage null whereas the whm's JA is mag dmg reduction) ? Kinda lame but least its on a 5min timer? lol much easier to pop a Sacrosanc for a incoming Meteor tho. Effective use def precludes that a BLU knows what to pop the spell for AND have no prior need to use UL for another spell so in that light it sounds like a bit of a letdown. Thought it'd be more of a middle road between a fanatic's on a 5min timer and a phys version of Sacrosanctity.
IC i just test and prove it, yes it's can block 1,000 needles so must be same to 10,000 needles one =D just need to make sure it's not off b4 got hit, and 5 min once = =;
Can't see it ever being worth it over the defense down of Tourbillion tbh. 1 hit isn't very robust
