new blood pacts

diablos's new blood pact could be nice if it works like sleep III or Sleepga III but fenrir's i don't see working so well, i can just see it now, mage's with drain HP and melee with drain MP. Why couldn't they make it 2 different bloodpacts and call one life and the other spirit for either mp or hp for party?

Because it's basically working on the same principled as the twilight knife.

Summoner gets the ultimate shaft at 99. Go Square Enix, way to make the job even less useful!

I'm hopping diabolos is some psudo hyper sleep.

Yeah, I figured everyone gets both and the proc was random.

I'm just hoping we have some testers left that will test and complain on the abilities so we get them as useful as we got our shock squall.

I don't really trust SE to release Cait Sith be the level 99 debut. I'm trying to hold my disappointment back though. Neither of these blood pacts give me a reason to use Fenrir or Diablolos more than what I have personally. Hopefully either new blood pacts or adjustments to ones we already have... but given that they're giving us Nightmare II instead of adjusting the properties of Nightmare.... it's kind of a long shot to expect them. ~_~

shock squall is great, very good for soloing

Not only for soloing, it is also a very good tool in VW. Stunning Uptala or Pil sometimes for over 20 seconds makes believe they are glitched.

Hmm, either way, shock squall is useful in VW when stunning NMs as the come out of being procced. Most retaliate with a TP move so it has it's uses when Ramuh is out. I wouldn't suggest anyone going out of their way to summon Ramuh out specifically for that though. All VW parties should have at least one attentive BLM or RDM/BLM that are capable of making the same judgement.

That's why, in my opinion, Thunderstorm should be maxed for VW. There is no real reason to favor Heavenly Strike ouside Abyssea and Predator Claw/Spinning Dive are less effective than a lvl 5 merit BP with Destruction/Eminence (or soon Purple Lightning with Lightning Elemental Attack+15) on nearly every VWNMs (chapter 2). Shock Squall is simply the ward I use the most often now.

Implying that Cait Sith will be a good summon? Then look at our newest summon.... Cait Sith will just be carbuncle 2.0 minus the OP'd regen
