I use chrome with no issues. Another method is to use the color "White".

I use ie(forced to at work :-( our 'IT' department thinks its the most reliable) , firefox, and chrome and can see it as plain black on them all. But I run add-ons to block pretty much everything unless I specifically allow it.

Regardless this works, unless you're running blocks or something.

Could possibly do color=#ffffff as well. I don't know if the background is 100% white or not. Some browsers might also change the text to a grey color if the text and background match.
