Sharpshot Z-500 Attachments ?

Ok, so my mage and melee frames have always been capped and merited etc... however im venturing into the realms of RNG pup and I can't seem to find any attachments that specifically benefit the rng frame, bar scope (U like rng pup? Y u no make scope II SE?).

So the crux of my question is how do you go about getting the most outta rng frame? Im talking atmas here as well plz, also dose Haste effect ranged attacks on pup? I doubt it but feel I should ask lol.

Haste doesn't affect the dly of ranged attacks on our pet.

STR directly affect the damange of ranged attack. Base is roughly 200 with +1 str adding 1.6 dmg (+50 str adds roughly 80 dmg).

As far as atma, i made a post forever ago about the mods on armor shatter. http://www.zam.com/forum.html?fjob=1...9287107144&p=2 My AP data was fairly nice thanks to burtts letting me WS every 10 seconds ><, AS was a lot less trials due to it taking longer to build the tp.

Basically equal parts str and dex, so vv/rr/apoc works golden.

Oddly enough the best thign you can do to increase the SS dmg is give it a VE head to force it to always run in and build tp faster.

For attachments, although there aren't many that are purely about ranged attacking, you need to keep in mind that SS's damage is heavily weighted toward WS. So the main priority is to generate TP quickly in order to get to that next big WS - things like haste (Turbo Charger), Double Attack (Coiler), and acc attachments (if you're fighting something where acc is needed) will help get TP.

My typical SS setup:

Wind: Scope/Barrage Turbine/Turbo Charger. Pretty much the standard Sharpshot setup. Turbo Charger is immensely useful to get TP quickly, probably the single most valuable attachment for Sharpshot. Barrage Turbine is nice damage AND nice TP gain, the one downside is that it can swipe your wind maneuvers right before WS and cause an undesired WS.

Fire: Tension Spring I&II, Flame Holder. Note that the Tension Springs affect attack and ranged attack. Could swap out TSI for Heat Capacitor, but I really don't much care for the maneuver consumption on Capacitor - especially considering it can eats maneuvers that can be used to pump up WS with Flame Holder at just the wrong time (which inevitably is when it wants to use Capacitor). I'd absolutely use Inhibitor all the time if it was ONLY Store TP and didn't mess with WS, I'm hoping to see that one get adjusted.

Thunder: Coiler, Stabilizer II. Might consider using Dynamo in Abyssea with lots of crit damage+ atma on.

Water: Stealth Screen. Never hurts to avoid pulling unintentional hate.

Light: Optic Fiber, Auto-Repair Kit II. Might use Flashbulb here.

Other: Disruptor is nice to be able to dispel if needed. Could also throw some random defensive attachment on - Armor Plate II, Mana Jammer II, Equalizer, Steam Jacket. This slot would be good for Percolator too if you're working on automaton ranged skill.

At lv90, the basic maneuver strategy is to make sure you have wind maneuvers up to increase haste/R.Acc for TP generation, and as a trigger maneuver for Armor Shatterer (# of active wind must be greater than or equal to dark/fire/thunder). Mix in Thunder maneuvers for more TP, fire maneuvers for attack/r.atk and to slip one in before WS for Flame Holder damage. Use other maneuvers as needed to trigger specific attachment abilities/effects.

If you're lagging on skill and Armor Piercer is your current highest WS, you'll want to mix in a dark maneuver before WS to trigger AP. Need to have dark greater than or equal to thunder/fire. If you don't even have Armor Piercer yet and you're over level 75, go skill up ;)

Anza's setup is pretty much the way to go. Although I usually skip the Stealth Screen, go with Flashbulb, then use an Armor Plate II. When your Automaton is using Barrage Turbine and Armor Shatterer, it's going to pull hate. I might as well just Ventriloquy. Either way Flashbulb helps the mob whiff.

I have to disagree here (and only here). The master gains TP much faster than the Auto, so there is a lot of situations in which it will just SC an Armor Shatterer after your SP, just because they tend to not WS at exactly 100% TP, and if you're not at 100% but are close, the auto will wait for you, anyway. Waiting a bit for you to WS generates much more damage via Fusion skillchain (And Darkness for Vereth PUPs), so it's worth it. That, on one hand. On the other, if you're at 90%+ TP and your auto fires a Barrage, getting to 100% TP, instead of using Arcuballista or Daze if you had a Fire or Thunder maneuver up, it will instead wait and use the superior WS, with its corresponding skillchain.

It'd be a problem if automatons gained TP much faster than us, but it isn't the case.

atma of the Stout Arm gives R.Atk:Major, Attack:Superior, and Str:Major
according to wiki thats r.atk??, atk+50, Str+40

may be worth considering. may all depend on whether your pup is backline or meleeing.

I'd suggest using the Mirke Wardcors w/ Ranged Acc+ in addition to some of the above mentioned... as far as attachments are concerned... I also add in the Target Marker when I can...Optic Fiber and Tactical Processor (the last 2 work wonders together).

I cannot recommend that at all. It is a complete was of the Wardcors to put Ranged Acc on it.

1) Ranged Atk would >>> ranged acc for one.
2) A 'pet' one should have crit/dbl atk + atk/rng atk for melee pets.

There is so little that adds ranged atk and the affect of + ranged atk is huge. The acc of the ws/regular ranged attack are decent even on Voidwatch mobs. The rest of the options (acc/atk/master crit / master DA) are all worthless now that you can use a +2 af3 or juogi.

Again with the BS recomendation of optical fiber + tactical processor? You have given 0 evidence as to what it does so stop recomending it. You are just trolling until you give concrete proof of what it does.
