New Attachment Locations?

Anyone know where to get the new attachments yet? Would really like to know.

they drop from absolute virtue when you kill him on a firesday under a full moon 98% with a level 1 beastmaster in the party when all the planets align and the killing blow is dealt with a regular attack from a chocobo wand.

Okay, they drop from Tier 1 ZNM 'Ob' hes very VERY easy to kill now at lv90. I've been killing him with a THF friend, having WHM frame up for heals and THF main eva tanking. Easy fight, long part is gaining the Zeni to purchase the pop item :) Good luck! Also drop from Brown Boxes in Horototo Ruins :)

They have 3 Known Locations

1) Ob
*Ob Is your best bet. If he's not horribly raved after. If he's super-popular his PI will be over 2000 or 3000 Zeni per pop, Which is at least 30 Pictures. If hes not that popular, He's easy to kill, and with TH~6+ or so the Drop rates aren't horrible. But expect to do a few kills before you get them all.

2) ENM60 "Pulling the Strings
*This is a wonderful Solo option, Pulling the String on PUP is pretty simple once you get it down, but the drop rate is less than great, and it can only be done once a week. but its a good shot at a new Attachments

3) Grounds of Valor
*This is probably the worst possible option. Brown Treasure Casket have absolutely terrible load rates and the Attachment load rate is even worse. You're probably looking at 1/100 boxes giving you an attachment if you're lucky.. I'd avoid this unless its an absolute last resort or you're already doing it for Exp/Tabs.

I got Barrier Module and Disruptor from Ob other night. Other two aren't as important and once the greedy players figure out no one is buy those attachments for 2 mil which they are trying to sell them for, then I will just probably buy them. If I even bother to.

But why did a couple of pups have to be so damn stupid and pay 2-3 million on the first couple days and not just wait. do they not realize they just grief every other pup out there? I even caught an actual pup doubling the cost of one of the attachments. He should have his union card revoked.

Some people have more money than they know what to do with. Or more money than brains.

Pay 3mil now so they can feel special owning it before someone else and/or don't have to do the work to get it themselves? The only one I'd of considered buying is the Percolator because i needed to Skill up bad, But i got that from Ob for about 2hours of effort.

Killed Ob 4 times so far, once with a THF, and got nothing to show for it, except a bunch of arms that don't fit on my automaton...

You're only shooting yourself in the foot by not bringing THF to all possible kills >_<.

I had th8+ on each of 3 kills and stilled managed to get 1 that didn't drop anything. It boils down to a little luck, of course.

But having a THF for only 1/4th of your kills is likely the reason you have nothing to show. I'd say save your pops til you have a THF available, Its just not worth it to kill without. Should probably mention that above eh...

Why would you ever do ob w/o a thf. I've killed ob 5 times and have gotten 3 of the new attachments and 2 coilers and had a thf each time. Grant it we sold the new attachments cause putting 2+ mil in our pockets was way more important.

So basically you screwed fellow pups because you are greedy?

Only people he screwed are those who are too lazy to get off their butt and go get the attachments themselves, and instead make comfortable little excuses and reasons to not get them themselves.

And just sit at the AH complaining they're so expensive instead of maybe going to Farm Zeni, or doing the ENM.

There is no reason a PUP should not be able to get those attachments, they just want it "the easy way" A.K.A The Auction house. Even for the solo-ist PUP with no friends, the ENM60 is a solo ENM and is quite simple. Grounds of Valor is equally as simple.

Ob is still the best bet and all you have to do is take some pictures and find a THF friend to TH it for you.

anyone got a good strat for the ENM? I can't find one anywhere that seems to be decent on how to properly complete it.

Its actually really really simple. For the fights i did i wore AF + Herder's Subligar and decent attack gear. usually just ate a Mithkabob.

Bring a few potions, Preferably ~4-5 Hi-potions. Though they wont likely be needed. (I rarely used any of them unless something went wrong). Bring Automaton Oil+2 (duh!) and use Valoredge Frame.

Basically, Summon the frame and wait for Overload-thing to cool down... Go in and Assault your pet on Fanto. Dont get hate until Fanto summons, You want your pet tanking both if possible. I kept up Earth/fire/Dark maneuvers, Dark for Cannibal Blade.

Just fight like normal, use your 2hour near the beginning if You'd like its of no consequence, Use Hi-potions if you get hate, Repair when necessary. Him using RNG Frame is the worse for this, But even then its too hard.

I recommend Howling Fist when you get TP, it seemed to be the best.

so do I not destroy the Auto that he summons and just beat down him?

Btw I +1ed my Hands and feet years ago, do i still lose the bonuses from them since their level 74 now? Im assuming so, but not sure :/

If you're talking abotu doing the 60 cap fight, yes anything that's above level 60 will lose all non attribute/attack/accuracy/etc stats.

If you want you can discard or store on the porter moogle the rest of your NQ and do the AF quests again.

Question: Wouldn't it be better to do wind*3 at the beginning (for super-haste with Overdrive), then do earth/fire/dark? I'm planning on doing it again tomorrow, tried it last week but it was my first time, I wasn't too prepared, and made several crucial mistakes that led to my defeat, so I'd like to know.

I don't own the haste Attachment yet (The Fight wont put out :()

Did a bunch more pops solo, got Vivi-Valve, Percolator and another Coiler. At 1000 zeni a pop, I'd rather spam the fight and get attachments now, then wait for a THF. Guess it's the price for impatience :D
