Scroll of Invisible

Ok, I realize that numbers are random, and SE does not in fact hate me(...), but I have now killed over 500 monsters that supposedly drop the Scroll of Invisible. (Yes, I've counted.) I have killed Yagudos in 2 zones, Garnet Quadavs in Bedeaux, and Goblin Leechers in 5 different zones. As you can guess, there have been zero drops.

The first assumption is, jesus christ, that guy is unlucky. And, yes, that would normally be an accurate assessment, but if you've looked at the AH prices of the scroll lately, you'll see that the price is way up there. It's between 50k and 60k on Ragnarok, with similar prices on Cait Sith before the merge.

This is a scroll that used to be so common it was often not worth even trying to put up on the AH because there were so many up. It was right up there in commonality with Sneak and Deodorize. Now it is a huge and unavoidable expense for any Mage that is very early in the game that simply used to not be there.

I don't know why the availability of this scroll has become such an issue. Perhaps no one fights the mobs that drop it (which seems unlikely considering how much competition I've had for mobs that drop it), or there have been a glut of new WHMs for the past several months, but, in any case, SE, please adjust this drop rate. This is ridiculous for such a pivotal and early spell.

That is actually a bit odd.

IT's always been that low of a drop rate. It's that hard for you to find because the amount of people even bothering to kill the mobs that drop it is MUCH lower now.

Gobbies in the dunes have dropped this for me a couple times in 6 months of playing. Never had it drop of anything else but I'm sure I am not alone in having killed more stuff in the dunes than any of the other zones ><

I believe the recent buff to sneak/invis status effects drove up the prices. Shame that ninjutsu and jigs weren't affected, but that's the way the cookie crumbles ^^

Jeeze, I know what you mean. I've been trying to find this scroll for awhile now, been killing Gobs non-stop in 3 zones, had TH1 as a /thf, and still nothing. I wish it would be a little more common of a drop rate, 'cause I can't afford the 65k on Asura that is needed for it.

yup, been farming this for 3 days now. 50k on Shiva's AH. ridiculous.


edit: would be nice if one of the devs responded to this thread and acknowledged that the drop rate is too low.

You can't buy this from NPC? I've thrown away so many of these.

Well a few suggestions, some true some rumored.
-go thief or /THF. Or, Beastmaster with ladybug. Or I think ranger has treasure hunter now.
-pick up wild rabbits tail, four leaf madragora leaf, and I'm forgetting other rare/ex.
-millionaires desk.
-train all the mobs that drop and kill together, or have a blackmagw do it for you.
-in Mhaura is an NPC, named Emily I think. She'll tell you your "lucky color" which I think means you lucky day/color. I think this works cause I get a ton of testimonies on blue/waters day.
-there also an NPC, in Port Windy that tell you roughly you luck rating on that day, but you need a partner. Another NPC, is located in Port Bastok(near restaurant) same deal. Also, in Lower Jeuno Chululu or NpC next to her will give you your fortunes.
-NPC, Wagid(blue Mage quest) in Whitegate will tell your fortune also.
