wouldn't it be cool if they redid the graphics of XI to look like the new combo pack art? I like to dream. Maybe one day.

I wish the game looked like civil.
I think at this point it make more sense to can 14 and invest in 11. graphic upgrade is just one of many things that could be done to 11 to help it get more people. imagine 11 story with WoW accessibility. I think that would be awesome
would make more sense to can both and make a real MMORPG.
The game would immediately die due to the fact 70% of the server won't have the pc to handle it. Can we delete this thread?
what? The core of my system (C2D E8400 and ATI 4850) are 3 years old (if not older) technology and played 14 just fine. Wouldn't need to go full hog with a DX10/11 update for FFXI (which is not what happened with 14, btw--still dx9 as it runs on XP also). Just a true DX8.1 (or better, DX9) upgrade would be a major leap forward.
I don't want them to go overboard with a graphics overhaul. if they did their research and found out what PC hardware the customers they had were using they could come up with something. I know it's somewhere in one of the agreements that says we players are responsible for keeping our systems up to date so we can play. so any excuse like "but if they do a graphic update I won't be able to play" is kind of dumb. I got a new laptop to play 14.
If people want to play enough they will adjust. again I think this is just one thing that SE can do to make the game more appealing to more people. maybe even new customers. i know it's an older game but you don't here "this hospital is 8 years old and outdated let's rip it down and spend 5 mil to build a new one when it would cost 1 mil to update the old one" my point is it's an old game but if it went to PC and xbox only or just PC only they could make a new exp and that with other changes plus a remarket could bring in new people and people who left.
