Ring Recipe

Something that's bothered me since the beginning of this game, and I mean the beginning of it in America, has been the recipe for rings. Seriously, Fire crystal + 2 INGOTS = 1 ring? Those are either the world's smallest ingots, or that's the world's largest ring. That thing Wulfnoth is banging on in the guild shop? That's not a bangle, it's HALF A RING.

There are dozens of ways this can be fixed. Easiest way I can think of is to use a different crystal on one ingot. Wind is all ready used to make hairpins and fire on one ingot makes a sheet, but what about earth? Earth + ingot = ring; I could live with that. Or, SE could add a special, cheap, item, like a "ring dowel", and make fire + 1 ingot + ring dowel = ring. "Ring Dowel" itself could be a low level Woodworking synth, even.

Goldsmithing is already the most expensive craft; please don't make us lose 2 platinum ingots trying to make one item no one wants, and is only used as a base for other synths!

I think it's a good idea, but good luck getting the powers that be to change it. It's not even the concerns with yadda yadda enconomy changes yadda that makes them balk I bet, but knowing how much some percentage of Lv100 (gold)smiths would freak out and begin wailing and gnashing their teeth.
