magic damage vs. melee damage

I feel that melee damage out performs magic damage outside of abyssea on general mobs that dont have high pdt or mdt, especially with the introduction of empyrean weapons. I would like to see a great increase to all elemental magic damage. My blm has decent nuking gear, some +2 and mab earrings, goetia cape and neck, etc; while its not the best its far from the worst yet melee damage costs nothing to use and with proper store tp cgear one can weapon skill spam constantly in addition to the normal hits damage. either reduce elemental spell cost or increase elemental magic damage, thank you.
