Greetings FFXI team.
Is it possible, players can get the name change system from the server transfer service as a feature outside of it? Really dislike changing servers to change my name.......I really like being on Bismarck, my OG server (Since "04).
Threads like this have been mentioned before, but name change should have/could have came well before race change services due to the name change system already being in the game.

Granted, since we have race/face change now we may as well go all the way. Just saying it's technically not a thing that comes with a server transfer, it's just a side effect of name duplication. -

As far as I know, there is only one way to accomplish what you are hoping to achieve:
You have to transfer you character to a new server. Whatever name your character has on the new server, you'll want to make sure that name is taken on Bismarck when you transfer back. (One way to check for this is to try to make a new mule with that name and see if the game says the name is taken). If you do this, when you transfer your character back to Bismarck, you will be asked to rename your character.
Basically, you'll want to make sure that you can force a name change on the return transfer. -
