Client loses connection at around same time every day (between 4pm - 7pm JPN)

I start playing at around 3amEST / 8am GMT / 4pm JPN on Asura

At some point in the next three hour period I lose connection on whatever clients I'm using. After that period of time I can stay connected indefinitely even if afk for the next 12+ hours.

This happens during this time window on different PCs, different ISPs, different router hardware etc etc

I'm convinced it's something server side. I think I'm right in suggesting this is the time window when most JPN players are logging on ?


Anyone else experience this or anyone have any suggestions I could try please ?

If it happens consistently within a certain timeframe, it is extremely unlikely that it is server side, because it would most likely be happening to everyone or many people (i.e. people on Asura).

The problem is most likely somewhere long the path your connection takes to reach the server. The easiest way to investigate this would be to use a VPN. Among other things, VPNs can be used to control the route you take to reach the servers, by choosing different VPN server nodes, this will change the path you take and potentially bypass any problematic backbone internet infrastructure.

There's also another explanation, if you are idle during this time period, you might have the auto-disconnect feature turned on. go to config > global on the ingame menu to turn this off.

Actually, I did experience similar issues around those time as well. Only thought to just relog & kinda avoid doing like more than half hour contents in case dc still kicks in, till my conns got stable enuff. Glad to know it's not just me then.
