Monstrosity updates?
Hi. I love playing Monstrosity. It is really cool that you can play as a monster, collect and unlock new monsters, level them up, and participate in a PvP mode (which I haven't experienced much but it does seem it needs more balancing). I heard this content was placed on the backburner to focus on Seekers of Adoulin.
Any chance we can see new monsters? New iLv gear reward for participation?

Monstrosity updates?
I love this content a ton, too, but I think I am the only one who plays it on Asura. I'd be happy if they would add some new end-game gear that you can only buy with points from leveling your monsters!

New job Morpher, tied to Monstrosity. You have to level the monsters to lv99 and then undergo a trial fight, then you can transform into that monster and use their abilities and spells. You can modify your monsters stats and additional effects/abilities with the point system within Monstrosity. The morpher job can swap between a set of monsters with a high MP cost and cooldown.

Monstrosity basically died when the person who did the principal development on it left SE. I really wish they went further with it. And while very much under appriciated, it led to one of the most unique forms of PvP in any game.

The Monstrosity question comes up every couple of years over the last decade, here is a post dated 2015

The person leading on Monstrosity was Ryota Iwagami, when he left XI, all development halted. He moved on to XIV amongst other things, in fact a quick google search shows he is credited in the following, last seen on FFVII Rebirth
Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth (2024, PlayStation 5) Battle System Designer
Foamstars (2024, PlayStation 5) Square Enix Special Testers
Final Fantasy VII: Remake - Intergrade (2021, Windows) Battle System Designers
Final Fantasy VII: Remake (2020, PlayStation 4) Battle System Designers
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age (2017, PlayStation 4) System Planners
Final Fantasy XIV Online: Heavensward (2015, PlayStation 4) Crafting, Gathering, and Item Planners
Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn (2013, Windows) Crafting, Gathering, and Item Planners
Final Fantasy XI Online: Ultimate Collection - Seekers Edition (2013, Windows) Battle Planners
They had much more planned, but it never happened

MVM in pankration would be awesome, which I think was the coliseum.

Pankration was something very different from Monstrosity, I remember when released, it felt very much like an after thought, like they had something much bigger planned, also something that wasn't fully exploited

It would be fun to be able to party as a Monster with either regular players or fellow Monstrosity players.
