Merits

I hope the next update does something about Merits, I am maxed exp, maxed merits and 20 merits waiting. I have 4 level 90 jobs, with one at 62, so eventually will be able to use some more, but that is long ways away.

New categories and expantion of old categories would be nice (wishful thinking I know).

Its so easy to get merits now, I change mine out...but I would rather not.

Please remove all the Category Caps leaving only the Item caps.
So many of us have maxed out our merits in all categories and have stored up the max 20 merits that we cant use anyway. Let us improve our skills and our jobs by being able to merit all the Items in each category as many times one job's needs are the opposite of another so we are stuck either choosing the 1 we prefer or putting a little bit all over the map.

Yes I agree, with Abyssea being a place to quickly get exp and level a job, many already have a ton of job leveled, (myself have 8), and I don't just level them, I want to perfect them too (all but except NIN and RNG, not my preferred jobs lol). I have gotten all the good/better gear (not best, would like best if can ; ;) for all of my jobs, but 1 thing that bothers me.... MERIT! I don't want to have to choose between Divine or Enfeebling or Elemental or Summoning magic. Nor do I want to only have Dagger and Great Katana skill. Each job is different and need different "general" category merits, why should we be limited on 1 or 2 "MAIN" job, when we want to play the fun of the job to the fullest for all the jobs we leveled.

i just feel stupid for wasting so much time meriting on all the bird/mammol camps...

Afaik they said they will be doing something with the merit system/introducing something new to it, but only when we reach the 99 cap.

I think we at level 99 should be able to transmigrate into an improved version of your job, starting at level 1 :>

Well lets see, 90-95...2 days to level to 95 and get full buffer all jobs...2-3 hours to get full merits...........waste of time except to farm to make gil when there is very little to buy worth buying, that I don't already own. Need something re merits sooner than 99. I for one hate leaving all the exp chests unopened but why waste a key. In some ways they are bringing the end of the game to us sooner than we think...at 99 what then?
