July Version Update

Good day, adventurers!

Somehow, we're already halfway through 2024! Time sure flies, doesn't it? Here in Japan, the sun's rays have gotten even stronger lately, and we're already off to a rather hot summer.

It may be due to the heat, but I've been feeling a bit under the weather lately, so in what is an age-old Japanese tradition, I visited my local shrine to participate in a summer purification ceremony where you pass through a large ring made of cogon grass in order to wish for good health for the rest of the year. Whether you're young or old, your health is your most important asset, so please take care to avoid heatstroke and other common heat-related illnesses that are so prevalent this time of year.

Now, I'd like to talk a bit about the July version update.

Records of Eminence
This time, we will be adding a number of objectives related to Sortie. Although you can only complete each objective once, you will be able to acquire +2 job-specific earrings from old cases +2. So remember to set your objectives so that you don't miss out!

Ambuscade
In this month's update, the Qiqirn, as well as the dual threat of the Lizards & Tarichuk are returning. The Qiqirn can be especially troublesome, with their penchant for stealing your HP, MP, and abilities. They're capable of sapping pretty much all of your HP, so be careful not to get surrounded by a group of them, or you might not make it out in one piece. When dealing with the Lizards and Tarichuk, whichever group has more enemies remaining will grow stronger, so it's important to try and keep their remaining numbers balanced when fighting them.

Seasonal Event
Once again, we're starting off summer in Vana'diel with the Celestial Nights event. Every year, two NPCs assume the role of Prince Yahiko and Princess Amdina and attempt to go on a romantic date throughout the town, but find themselves constantly interrupted by various other NPCs. Therefore, let's all do what we can to help make this pair of star-crossed lovers' date a success. We've even prepared a special item that is perfect for summer as a reward, so be sure to give the event a try.
