January Version Update

Good day, adventurers!

I hope you are looking forward to another year of adventure in FFXI.

Flu season is currently in full swing around the world and I also caught it myself the other day. The symptoms such as fever and body aches can be quite severe with this particular strain, so I hope everyone is looking after their health and taking necessary precautions against the virus, such as washing their hands and gargling regularly.

In regards to the game, the main focus of the January 2024 version update will be reflecting the results of the Ambuscade Point Bonus Campaign from the first round of the Vana'Bout event that was held in December.

I would like to once again offer my sincere apologies for underestimating how many people would participate in this worldwide event that was shared across the world servers, thereby forcing us to revise the target goal immediately after the content went live. At the same time, we are extremely grateful that so many of you participated in the event and offered us valuable feedback despite the circumstances. We'll be sure to refer to that feedback as well as other lessons learned from the event in order to improve future iterations of Vana'Bout!

Finally, I'd like to talk about the current ongoing campaigns.

The Return Home to Vana'diel campaign that was started at the end of December will be ending soon. How about rounding up some old friends and adventuring together over the rest of the winter holidays?

Also, the Japan-only Treasures of Vana'diel exhibition in Osaka will be finishing up soon, with its last day on Monday, January 8th. I know the New Year's holiday period is always a busy time for everyone, but I hope you'll make an effort to visit your home away from home in Vana'diel.
