Zilart VW Ops issue

You are now given the Ashen T1 spawning abyssite for the 6 NMs around the Zilart zones instead of getting it from the NPC. I went and killed the 6 NMs and couldn't get it updated to Tier 2. Looked online and you have to flag the quests THEN kill the 6 NMs. If the game gives you the Key Item to spawn the 6 NMs why not also flag the quests that go along with them so you're not wasting time? I just wasted around 1-2 hours running around killing the NMs just to find out I had to talk to 2 NPCs to flag 2 quests and then go kill the NMs. This should have been caught when the change was made that you no longer needed to talk to the NPC to get the T1 spawner item for the VW ops. I'm hoping someone sees this and will flag my quests as complete so I can move on to the next tier. I do not want to repeat the NMs.
