I was just thinking how nice it would be to etch existing rare/ex gear with evoliths in addition to the augments that they will be able to receive. I think the main reason the that system never took off was because of the sub par stats on the gear itself. The synergy system would be great if existing gear like Salvage and Nyzul Isle gear were allowed to be etched.
