Cannot complete The Puppet Master (SMN quest)

Steps:

I was beginning the quests for the Summoner Artifact set. During the first quest in that chain, The Puppet Master, I had completed all objectives and just killed the BCNM Galgalim. I returned to Bastok to talk to NPC Juroro (quest issuer). Before talking to him, I deleted the quest item Earth Pendulum thinking I no longer needed it as it is only needed to initiate the fight with Galgalim.

Upon talking to NPC Juroro he initiated the quest Trial by Earth (to unlock Titan) instead. He wouldn't let me complete The Puppet Master so I ran off and completed Trial by Earth. I was able to complete and turn in Trial by Earth with no issue.

When I talk to NPC Juroro now, after having completed Trial by Earth, he will not initiate the cutscene for The Puppet Master. Thus I am stuck on the second to last step of this quest.

I've tried zoning, relogging, talking to all NPC's involved to no avail.
