As nice as the logo is, I don't understand why the developers don't just use the community to create these for free?
Setup an anniversary logo competition every year.
Are you worried about the development resources being taken away by an artist (artists don't develop content) taking 10 minutes out of their day to make a logo?
The artist was paid to make this I'm assuming.
Also, involving the community is almost always good PR.
