Too often I need to move the camera around a lot to find a place where I can just barely make out the line on my pets health.
Not sure what it would take to make it stand out more at all times.
But perhaps just not make the empty part of the bar transparent!
I don't know, just something that's bugged me for years. Would like to see it fixed.
I totally agree here. Far to often while I'm seal farming I have to turn the camera so my pet bar is over a grassy spot or some mountains just to see how low it is. Even if they could make the HP section darker instead of the light pink it seems to be for me.
They'll argue it's too much work even though it'd simply be a case of changing the DAT image to a different colour.
Was getting annoyed by the pet HP bar on SMN just now and I was about to start a thread about this but decided to search first.
Pet HP bars are nearly impossible to accurately read unless you move the camera all over the place. It's especially bad in areas like Xarcabard or Altepa where the ground blends right in.
Wouldn't it be as easy as giving it a proper outline like for example this:

Doesn't have to be just like this, the important bit is that colors with a lot more contrast would be used.
on board with all of you. However, speaking as a pup and bst I'd also like an MP bar. Not every pet needs it, but if it's a pet characteristic and actualy a source of your pet's output it certainly helps to know my blm pup has less than 10% MP without spamming a report macro as an example..
Ive never had this problem but if its a problem for some people i have no disagreement with fixing it.
To be honest, I'm spamming my pet info macro so often I don't even look at my pet HP bar, but I can definitely see how this is annoying. Thumbs up from me.
yep, need the report macro anyway, <pettp>, on pup I'm trying to set an SC, on bst I don't want to waste time on a Ready. Not saying anyone else needs this info, I'm fine with /p Numbnuts needs MP! or /p If you want her to tank this can Sashra get some HP 1st?

is a really useful macro to have(and spam)
That said, having the pet HP easier to read would be nic
