I think it would be cool to have something to be able to mount weapons on like we can with armor. I have a lot of cool looking weapons I'd like to stare at.

Nice idea. Like something on the wall would be good.
Many of us have suggested this over the years, but no comment by SE about it.
... you mean like, Equip it to a Mannequin?
Years ago(post is so old seems to have been deleted), I suggested a "weapon rack". That is akin to a mannequin that just displays weapons.
