Error 3331

:mad: I am getting Error Code FFXI-3331 after maintaince

Same issue for numerous people after the update.

Error code: FFXI-3331
The game's data has been updated.
Please return to the PlayOnline FINAL FANTASY XI top page and download the latest version.

I also ran a file check with POL ran as Administrator. Lastly I reinstalled POL but continue to encounter this error.

I am also trying to quick reinstall by forcing a clean update with the back up copy I have on my D Drive see if that fixes it too

@Tentakel: Wow, you went all out. O_O;;

After running into this same error, I exited all the way out and logged back in. "Play" button is grayed out again and maintenance notice is back up. Probably a hiccup while rebooting the servers or the like.

Same here. Also on my wifes PC back home, different states, different network, accounts, pcs etc.
So seems like someone made a boo boo at SE
