Startup loop back to POL

Hi, returning player here, just to see how things are in Vana'diel for a short time.

I've recently redownloaded the game on Steam. The version I have is the Ultimate Abyssea version. After downloading and installing, I've updated the game and everything works fine. I launched the installer I had for Seekers of Adoulin from my Square Enix Store account and that seemed to install fine as well.

Then comes the booting up; logging into POL is fine, and clicking on "Play" brought me to updating the client as usual. After the update, clicking Play just brings me back to the POL Viewer.

I've launched via Steam, I've launched it via polboot.exe in the Steam install folder, but both just loop me back to POL.

Any idea? Thanks.

looks like something was over written, best to re-install the game. try downloading game from ffxi main site (its the ffxi seekers ultimate collection)
