Was there ever an official announcement on the state of the new UI that was planned for Windows almost two years ago?
They never officially announce abandoning content, they just stop updating it. Look at Moblin Maze Mongers, Meeble Burrows, Monstrosity, Succor to the Sidhe, Trial of the Magians, and the augmenting process they had for Synergy armor. It just gets quietly ignored and left in its last state.
