There need to be more regular besieged.

This is something I've found recently that, when I'm online, I'll be lucky to be on for 1 besieged, or by the time it has finished preparing I'll have to do something else, go to bed, go to work, w/e.

The problem being, it is the best source for imperial standing right now and I've been wanting to upgrade Salvage pieces since I'm confused the Devs are going to eventually 119 Salvage stuff and to upgrade I'm having to just burn through my copper vouchers.

So what I suggest is that the beastmen armies need to prepare and reach Whitegate a lot quicker so we end up having between 5-10 besieged daily, we're so strong compared to besieged mobs now that we kill them in 5mins so it shouldn't really matter that besieged is more frequent.

Anyway I'd love to get feedback, maybe people agree with me, or disagree but I'd love to find out.

No thanks. I'd rather not have Al Zahbi constantly under attack, having all its NPCs kidnapped, and rendered mostly useless.

Copper Vouchers pretty easy to come by. Can get 2 to 5 a day easily, and each one is worth 1 imperial gold piece. You need what, 25, for one of those Salvage pieces? Can also buy on the auction house.

When do you really use the Al Zahbi NPCs? Even the chocobo lady hardly gets spoken to these days, and even when NPC get taken prisoner, they get rescued pretty quick.

The kidnapping of the chocobo lady is still a significant loss to anyone that does Zeni NMs, or if you have people that need to chocobo out to aydeewa to do morta voidwatch runs.
Even the jp playerbase has abandoned doing besieged with any regularity which is why the invasions have been scaled back.

Yeah what Sapphires said. Too much Besieged can be debilitating.

What I think would be a better solution would be if they shortened the length of time between when one of the armies starts Preparing and gets to an actual attack. I timed this once, and it took 3 and a half hours to go from level 1 Preparing to level 8 Attacking. I'm still not even sure if that's a consistent number. A few days ago I happened to be in Whitegate and had nothing else to do when I saw the message that Mamools started Advancing. So I waited.... for about half an hour... no attack. I went AFK for like 20 minutes after that and attack was underway when I got back.

These waits for the actual attack to begin are awful.

I would like to see more survival guides in ToAU areas and more Beseiged.

I just want a Survival Guide or two in Adoulin city so I don't have to warp to Near East or Middle Lands to get in the Survival Guild systems.

it takes less time to run direct from secret passage in whitegate than to bother going to Al Zahbi for a choco... teleport to homepoint #3, exit the city and its only a few yalms to the subterrain.... I have never ever needed a choco to get there

I'd love to see more battles too. Or at least a much shorter time from where the mobs are maxed out to when they attack. It's agonizingly boring sitting there and waiting. If there are worries that people wouldn't repulse the attacks it would be easy enough to have an npc do a shout right when it is about to begin so people who are just standing around bored can join.

Something I'm curious about: they give us all these mechanics to prevent besieged (smashing mirrors, killing beastmen in their stronghold, killing the army en-route to Al Zhabi...) but they're a lot more work for little/no reward.

I was thinking just that before reading your comment. And considering there is little to gain from more frequent Besieged nowadays maybe the devs could significantly increase the rewards from doing these activities instead so people can still acquire Imperial standing.
