What if... [+Housing +Farms]

I played Archeage for a bit and thought the game itself is just another korean MMORPG it has a VERY NICE feature. Housing and Farms. They are not instanced like in FFXI, they are created in the same world they play, do quests, etc. There is a huge commerce around it, and players make money with their crops.

I know we have those here but we can't build our house, we can't see them in the world, and farms with animals would be so cool to grow them and get eggs, meat, etc. These animals could be special mobs in the world we would have to catch and not kill and their eggs/milk/meat would have special valor.

It would be an intense job of taking care of your house and farm but it would be a huge satisafaction for doing so. It would be a welcome break from the grind for gear we have. With results that matter to us.

I wouldn't necessarily be against a more involved housing system, but I would actually want it to be instanced. Ever played UO? Houses on every tiny bit of open space gets old fast...

Special zones for it could work but after the charlie-foxtrot of FFXIV housing, I don't trust SE with it XD

And, anything but instanced housing will make future server merges very very messy...

Mog garden thingy is pretty neat. Maybe something that grows on that, with some customization options? :cool:
