Chat log/filters needs an overhaul

I had a chance to try out incursion and other new content recently, and was rather frustrated by all of the chat log spam going on during these events that doesn't seem to have any chat filters to disable.

Every mob killed seemed to generate at least half a dozen to over a dozen log messages now and it's blowing anything of importance right off the screen. 2 lines for every RoE objective, 1 line for the xp, 1 line for the xp chain, 1 line for the job points, 1 line for the coffer, 1 line for each of half a dozen people that just got a merit/job point, adds up fast. There's also no filter for people using coffers which is additional spam.

Anything of importance to a healer is getting lost and it's very frustrating to have to try to guess which status curative is needed based on mob animation alone.

Being able to turn off the merit, RoE, and coffer messages would be a huge help. Or perhaps that new UI that was supposed to come out.

There is a filter for coffers/items. Unfortunately, it is either one or both of "Special actions started on/by allies, party, etc..." or "Special action effects on/by allies, party, etc..."

The new UI lets you have two log windows (real log windows, not like the fake thing you get by setting party chat to "hold") but there has been no progress update on the new UI in like a year.

My guess is they keep making additions to the game that require new/altered UI elements and whoever is working on the new UI can't keep up with it.
