Steps:
I was fighting monsters on the 11th floor of Delkfutt Tower using weapons and various blue magic spells. Trion (Alter Ego) was tanking the monsters I fought. Several times, the monster and Trion would sink into the walls or floor, rendering me unable to fight them. I could often bring them back by disengaging and letting Trion walk back to me, but not every time.
