Hello! I've spent the last few days teaching myself about the Adoulin xpac and have been exploring areas to collect the Key Items needed to join in on all those linkshell parties I seem to miss without them. Eventually, I found my way to Kamihr Drifts.
The Issue:
In Kamihr Drifts there is a quest offered by an NPC named "Traiffeaux" called "Breaking the Ice" that players need to complete in order to get two Key Items that allows them to participate/win Reives in the area. I had bought the items from vendors ahead of time to save myself the frustration and danger of farming them myself in an unknown territory.
My problem is that once I handed the requested items over, the first cut scene played... but the second never loaded. That is to say once the NPC said "Follow me," I entered a black loading screen where I could do nothing but chat while I wait for a cut scene to load. After the 5-10 minute mark and still nothing, I knew something wasn't right, so I rebooted. The second try, I got the same results. First cut scene plays, the second does not. Out of what I can only describe as morbid curiosity, I decided to wait for the elusive cut scene to load. 40 minutes later, I decided it was time to reboot again and call a GM. Which prompted me to post here.
Thankfully, I was given the two Key Items either after waiting the 40minutes and rebooting or after GM Hylphetien appeared. I'm not entirely sure, but I don't have much faith in thinking that after waiting 40 minutes, the game decided to be somewhat fair and bestow upon me the Key Item I had earned hours ago. Steps:
-Hand items over: first cut scene plays where the NPC crafts the player ear-mitts (The first Key Item of two) then asks them to follow them.
-Screen "blacks out" to load cut scene
-Cut Scene never loads, trapping the player in a scenario where they can do nothing but use chat functions.
