Was curious when we might get some subtle hints about what the next version update will hold for us? The content is obviously developed just not quite fine tuned to give to us yet as it was initially to be released this month and understandable why it wasn't. The update is scheduled for about a month away and was curious if we can get some idea what it may hold for us besides AH en-corporation and a few new npc's to teleport around to abyssea areas.
Based on their usual pattern, it's not time for details yet. Give it a few more weeks.
Actually we're meant to get quite a few information this week as last week they did say that we would get a handful of information, Dynamis being one of them
We know HNM! from the mod/devs XD World merge, NPC fellow adjustments, info being posted this (or next) week.
Other than that, idk :D
can't wait for npc adjustments.. spent so much time leveling my npc up heh
They used to tell us months in advance, now we would have gotten maybe 2 weeks notice if they had not delayed it, i know the last world merge they gave us 2 months to prepare, this time they told us on march 3rd it would be on the 16th, also there was VERY little data regarding exactly what would be in the update and when it was scheduled to take place. Then when they postponed it they told us it was supposed to have been in april but they moved it to may. I saw a lot about "next major update" but not a lot on when it was. I think it is because of the change of FFXI staff, they don't like to give us a lot of advanced notice. I know the last major update they had job adjustments coming out just 3 days before the maintenance. Before that they would keep us in suspense for 3 mo or so giving out a tidbit here and there so we were ALL hyped up by the time it got here lol
The whole thing was pretty much thrown into dissaray when they shut down the servers. I do however think the update will come around mid-late April. As far as information goes they've been leaking little snippets since Febuary about some of the things their going to do. I don't think they divuldged into great detail though because they wanted to get some ideas from the players on here, such as NOT turning Dynamis's lotting mechanics into something like Walk of Echos.
i know there was mention of adjustments to campaign battle as well and i hope some requirements for BCNM's as well are adjusted / lifted such as having to own the whole northlands region to access throne room as no one even does campaign battle anymore .... no big benefits or rewards compared to anything else out there atm
