Question Re: Merit Point Expansion

The most recent news blurb (and one post here on the forums) have both said that we're going to see a merit point expansion in June. If possible, I'd like to request a little information on this expansion!

The way I see it, there are pretty much three options:
1) Expand category caps for the categories that have already had their caps expanded before (Stats, HP/MP, and Skills)
2) Expand those categories and also expand job-specific caps
3) Expand any subset of category caps while also increasing the number of point we can spend on any given stat.

Of the three options, 2 is the one that I really want. 3 would also be okay (and isn't exclusive with 2). 1 is the worst option, but it's better than being hit in the face with a rusty rake.

So which will it be, Camate?!

Doubt those are the only options, with the way things are going who is to say a group 3 won't be added with the job ability/traits above Lv.75?

Wonder if the shuriken ninja elements will be implemented through the merit expansion?

I agree; group 3 merits could be otw; that is what I gathered from the news, lol, could be wrong^^

The above post indicates that they are looking to increase category caps (options 1 and 2) rather than adding new merit options or increasing individual caps (option 3). The example that Camate gave would fit in option 1, but it doesn't necessarily mean they won't do option 2. At the time of his post, I asked for clarification and didn't get a reply.

Looks like the answer was 1 and 3. Oh well~!

I would like to see the job groups go from 10 to 15 or 20. Also Weaponskill increase would be good and I would like to see the merit group cap to go up so you can merit party and not have to worry about stopping to expend merits or such

I don't see it listed on the June update overview post by Fujito/Matsui, is it delayed?

No, it is a mistranslation. There are two entries for Beastmaster in the section where it should have appeared. The JP version says what they already told us.
