Adventurous in Vana'diel

Hello all adventurers out there, I am entirely new to Vana'diel and FFXI, first time playing. And I hope to find some friendly and helpful, (hopefully) experienced people out there who could show me the ropes. I would also like to befriend adventurers at my level, no matter how little or much experience, to team up and do quests and missions with.

My character is a male elvaan named Ciceroix
I'm a red mage (RDM) lv. 6 (as I'm writing this)
I play on the Cerebrus server and I'm still in the starting town Windurst.
